Arrests

Gregory Joseph Dolan, 48, of Iowa City, was arrested Friday night in the 1200 block of Willow Avenue in Riverside for conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.

Jessica Lea Simmons, 22, of Ottumwa, was arrested Saturday evening in the 1000 block of West Madison Street in Washington for aiding and abetting fifth-degree theft.

Christopher Nicholas Boyum Cameron, 20, of Washington, was arrested Saturday night in the 2900 block of Highway 1 in Brighton for failure to appear for show cause on simple assault.

Andre Dwayne Kinlow, 39, of Washington, was arrested Sunday afternoon in the 1100 block of East Taylor Street in Washington for interference with official acts and simple domestic.

Christopher Nate Holt, 18, of Washington, was arrested Sunday evening in the 1700 block of Highways 1 and 92 in Washington for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. Jeffrey Alan Knupp, 15, of Washington, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at the same time and location.

Kami Rae Kinzebach, 35, of Iowa City, was arrested Sunday night in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington for conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.

 

Charges filed

Charges were filed on Andre Clayton Castillo, 12, of Washington, for simple assault and disorderly conduct.

Joshua Coyle Staats, 31, of Washington, was cited for open dumping.

 

Traffic accidents

An accident with no injuries was reported Friday afternoon at 12th and Washington Street in Washington. Officers responded. No charges were filed.

A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Friday evening in the 3100 block of Wayland Road in Wayland. The incident was documented.

A vehicle was reported on its top Saturday morning in the 2000 block of Orange Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. The vehicle was towed. Erin Ryan was cited for no proof of insurance accident related.

A parked vehicle was reportedly hit by another vehicle Saturday morning in the 100 block of East Main Street in Washington. The incident was documented.

A vehicle reportedly popped out of gear Sunday afternoon in the 3000 block of Highway 22 in Riverside and hit another vehicle at the gas pump. There were children in the vehicle that may have been responsible. Officers responded. The incident was documented.

A caller reported Sunday afternoon sliding into a ditch in the 1000 block of North 12th Avenue in Washington. Officers responded.

A two-vehicle accident was reported Sunday afternoon at East Washington and South Ninth Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. Information was exchanged.

A caller reported Sunday afternoon that a truck had hit her vehicle in the 1000 block of West Madison Street in Washington and left the scene. Officers responded. The incident is under investigation.

A vehicle reportedly hit a slick spot of Riverside Road at 150th Street in Riverside and struck a road sign Sunday evening. Officers responded.

A loud noise was reported Sunday night at East Polk Street in Washington. Officers responded. A vehicle had struck the guardrail. Over $1,500 damage was reported.

 

Traffic other

A vehicle was reported parked on the sidewalk Saturday evening in the 600 block of South C Avenue in Washington. Officers responded.

 

Fire calls

A building in the 2900 block of Highway 1 in Brighton was reported fully engulfed in flames and there were other buildings nearby. Brighton Fire and officers responded. Brighton QRS was placed on stand-by. The fire was extinguished.

 

Assault

A caller in the 600 block of North Fifth Avenue in Washington reported Saturday morning that her boyfriend pushed her into a closet. Officers responded. The parties were separated.

 

Burglary

A shed was reported broken into Saturday morning in the 200 block of North Marion Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. The incident was documented.

A caller in the 900 block of South Second Avenue in Washington reported Saturday morning that a neighbor had witnessed two juveniles get into his unlocked van. Officers responded. The incident was documented.

 

Fraud

A caller in the 3300 block of 175th Street in Ainsworth reported Friday morning that there was a cash advance transaction made on her credit card. The incident was documented.

 

All other thefts

A gas drive-off in the amount of $49.22 was reported Friday evening in the 300 block of West Madison Street in Washington. Officers were unable to locate.

A caller presorted Friday evening that he had left 14 square bales of hay in the 100 block of Ninth Street in Kalona and when he came back for them, they were gone. The incident was documented.

A stolen bicycle was reported Sunday afternoon in the 500 block of North Iowa Avenue in Washington.

 

Intimidation/harassment

An officer was requested Friday afternoon in the 1100 block of South B Avenue in Washington due to a student who had threatened a faculty member. Officers responded. The situation was under control and handled internally.

A caller in the 500 block of South Ninth Avenue in Washington reported Saturday afternoon receiving a threat from her baby’s father and was fearful he may show up at her family’s residence. Officers were advised.

A caller in the 300 block of West Washington Street in Brighton reported Saturday evening receiving harassing text messages from her ex-boyfriend. Officers responded.

 

Animal complaint

A deer tag was requested Saturday morning in the 2800 block of Highway 22 in Riverside. Officers responded.

A bat was reported in a residence in the 200 block of North Farmer Street in Brighton. Officers responded.

 

DP&Q

Loud music was reported Saturday night in the 600 block of East Washington Street in Washington. Officers responded.

 

All other offenses

A gas drive-off in the amount of $20.24 was reported Friday afternoon in the 300 block of West Madison Street in Washington. The incident was documented.

A metal shed reportedly blew over Saturday morning in the 800 block of North Seventh Avenue in Washington. Officers responded.

Doors were reported locked to a business in the 100 block of East Main Street in Washington Saturday evening and the caller said she was supposed to pick up her child. Officers responded.

A tablet was reported found Sunday afternoon in Central Park in Washington. Officers will investigate further.

 

Family offense non violent

A deputy was requested Friday evening in the 400 block of Lincoln Street in Ainsworth in reference to the caller’s son taking her car without permission and wrecking it. Officers spoke with both parties.

A caller in the 400 block of Lincoln Street in Ainsworth reported Sunday morning being in a verbal altercation with his parents. Officers responded.

 

Suspicious activity

A caller in the City of Washington reported Friday afternoon suspicious activity involving his brother. The incident is under investigation.

A suspicious vehicle was reported in a parking lot in the 1900 block of East Washington Street in Washington Friday evening. Officers responded. No problem.

Two suspicious subjects were reported Saturday afternoon in the 600 block of South 15th Avenue in Washington. Officers were unable to locate.

Suspicious activity was reported Sunday evening in the 800 block of West Monroe Street in Washington. Officers responded.

 

Runaway/missing person

A caller in the 800 block of East Madison Street in Washington reported Friday morning his 15-year-old son walked away from the residence. Officers responded. The child returned to the residence.

A caller in the 600 block of North Iowa Avenue in Washington reported Saturday morning his 16-year-old daughter did not come home by curfew. Officers were advised. The caller later reported the daughter had come home.

 

Civil dispute

A caller in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington reported Saturday evening that a repossession company was there to repossess his vehicle and he wanted to speak with an officer. Officers responded.
