Michael Wayne Neese, 22, of Brighton, was arrested Thursday morning in the 3200 block of Ginkgo Avenue in Brighton on an Iowa State Patrol warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
Jordan David Sterba, 26, of Wayland, was arrested Thursday evening at Highways 1 and 22 in Kalona for speeding — 93 in a 55, felony eluding, OWI, no valid driver’s license, open container – driver, reckless driving and careless driving. William Joseph Lackender, 26, of Kalona, was arrested at the same time and location for public intoxication. Gabriel Lewis Epley, 23, of Kalona, was cited at the same time and location for open container.
James Robert Howard, 24, of Washington, was arrested Thursday night in the 2100 block of 250th Street in Washington for operating while intoxicated.
A vehicle reportedly struck a stop sign Thursday morning at East Fillmore Street and South 12th Avenue in Washington. Jade Wells of Washington was cited for failure to maintain control.
A semi with brakes on fire was reported Thursday morning at East Washington Street and South Fourth Avenue in Washington. Officers were unable to locate.
A pickup with a trailer was reported partially blocking a driveway in the 1100 block of North Eighth Avenue in Washington. Officers spoke with the owner.
Guard rails were reported down and lights were flashing Thursday evening at the train tracks on North Marion Avenue in Washington. The issue was a broken rail. Railroad personnel were en route to fix the problem.

A minor in possession of tobacco was reported Thursday morning in the 1100 block of South B Avenue in Washington. Michael Ray Steele, 15, of Fairfield was cited for possession of tobacco by a minor.

A caller reported Thursday afternoon a 5-year-old girl was walking outside in the 100 block of West 15th Street in Washington looking for a subject who was supposed to be watching her. Officers responded. The child was returned to the caregiver.
A juvenile was reported Friday morning at East Washington and South Iowa Avenue in Washington walking toward the square wearing pajama pants and an unzipped coat. Officers were unable to locate.
A welfare check was requested Thursday afternoon on a subject in the 900 block of South 11th Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. No problem.
