Kyle Keight Chriswell, 48, of Burlington, was arrested Wednesday morning in the 1900 block of Highway 218 in Ainsworth for driving while revoked, no insurance and improper use of registration. The subject was also wanted out of Burlington for failure to appear for driving under suspension, expired tags and no insurance. The subject is also wanted in Henderson County for failure to appear on aggravated DUI.
Randelle Denver Brown, 22, of Iowa City, was arrested Wednesday afternoon on Highway 218 at 140th Street in Washington for driving under suspension, failure to affix drug tax stamp, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (marijuana), and possession of drug paraphernalia. The subject is also wanted out of Henry County for contempt of court, failure to appear for a pretrial conference on an original charge of third degree criminal mischief.
Michael Lee McCarty, 26, of Mt. Pleasant, was arrested Wednesday evening at Highway 218 in Ainsworth for a warrant for failure to appear on driving under suspension.
Rollin J. Bontrager, 19, of Kalona, was arrested Wednesday night in the 100 block of E Avenue in Kalona on a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of possession of alcohol underage.
A caller in the 300 block of First Street in Kalona reported being robbed Wednesday evening. A subject had displayed a knife and left on foot southbound. Officers responded.
All other thefts
A lost or stolen rifle was reported Wednesday morning in the 600 block of West Main Street in Washington. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 900 block of East Third Street in Washington reported Wednesday evening that her daughter had items stolen from a previous residence. Officers spoke with the caller’s ex-husband who requested the items be returned.
Two students were reported in an altercation Wednesday morning in the 1100 block of South B Avenue in Washington and an officer was requested to view the tape. The students were advised further incidents would result in charges being filed.
A caller in the 1100 block of East Main Street in Washington reported Wednesday afternoon that her boyfriend was refusing to leave and that he may be intoxicated. Officers responded. The subject agreed to leave for the night.
An officer was requested Wednesday afternoon in the 100 block of Westview Drive in Washington in reference to a subject who had been staying at the hotel without permission or paying for a room. Officers advised the subject if he returned he would be arrested for trespass.
An animal being housed from Goncho Apartments reportedly bit an employee Wednesday afternoon in the 1000 block of West Madison Street in Washington. The animal is being quarantined. The incident was documented.
A caller reported Wednesday evening his friend hit a deer at Highway 1 and 140th in Kalona and requested a deer tag. Officers responded.
A loud vehicle was reported Thursday morning in the 400 block of East 15th Street in Washington. Officers responded.
All other offenses
Officers were requested Wednesday morning to locate a subject who is on parole and give the subject an alcohol test. Officers located the subject in the 1600 block of North Fifth Street in Washington. The caller was advised of the results.
Officers reported Wednesday morning being out with DHS for a home visit in the 1100 block of East Taylor Street in Washington Wednesday morning. The incident is under investigation.
A caller in the 600 block of South Ninth Avenue in Washington reported Wednesday morning that a subject had been living in her residence since June without paying to live there. Officers advised the caller to contact and attorney.
An officer reported Wednesday afternoon being in the 100 block of Highway 92 in West Chester with the Department of Human Services. The incident was documented.
A caller reported Wednesday afternoon losing his license plate in Washington County. Officers were advised.
One of the tenants from Goncho Apartments was reported staying in Autumn Park Apartments in the 800 block of West Monroe Street in Washington Wednesday night and he wasn’t supposed to be there. The caller also believed he had brought items that may be contaminated. Officers responded and spoke with the subjects in the apartment and the landlord. The subject moved in three weeks ago. The landlord will put him on a lease and have him pay back rent.
Family offense non violent
A caller in the 400 block of East Third Street in Washington reported Wednesday evening having a verbal altercation with her baby’s father and she was trying to leave the residence with their son and he would not let her. Officers responded. The grandmother stayed with the child for the night and the parents went their separate ways.
A caller in the 2400 block of Yucca Avenue in Ainsworth reported Wednesday afternoon it appeared someone was taking diesel fuel from his property. The incident was documented.
A welfare check was requested Wednesday morning on a subject in the 100 block of East Main Street in Brighton. Officers were unable to make contact.
