Shane Allen Beebe, 22, of Fort Madison, was arrested Thursday night at Jefferson Street and B Avenue in Washington for driving under suspension x12 and no insurance.
A gas leak was reported Thursday morning at West Madison and South C Avenue in Washington. Washington Fire, officers and Alliant Energy responded. No problem.
All other thefts
A caller in the 300 block of East River Street in Riverside reported Thursday afternoon that she was missing a three-quart saucepan and a stainless steel spaghetti pot with matching lid from her apartment. Officers were advised. The incident was documented.
An officer was requested Thursday morning in the 400 block of East 15th Street in Washington in reference to possible harassment. Officers responded. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 700 block of West Washington Boulevard in Washington reported Thursday evening that his ex-girlfriend was harassing him. Officers spoke with both parties. The subject was asked to cease making contact with the caller.
A caller in the 1100 block of South B Avenue in Washington reported Thursday morning that her 14-year-old son was being disruptive in class and asked an officer to speak with him. Officers responded. The situation will be handled through the school.
All other offenses
An officer was asked to speak with a student Thursday afternoon in the 300 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington prior to the student’s dismissal from school. The caller reported that the student was upset and the caller didn’t feel comfortable letting him leave the building. Officers responded. The parents were contacted to pick up the student.
Family offense non violent
A subject in a van was reported following another subject Thursday morning at Seventh Avenue and 13th Street in Wellman. Officers spoke with the driver. The subject had exited the van due to being upset. No problem.
A subject was reported out of control and destroying things at a residence in the 100 block of West Washington Boulevard in Washington Thursday night. Officers responded. The subject calmed down. The caller called back later to report he was out of control again. Officers responded. Both subjects calmed down again.
A seventh grade student who had been in an altercation with another student reportedly walked out a side door Thursday morning in the 700 block of F Avenue in Kalona. Officers responded. The student had returned on arrival.

A caller in the 1300 block of East Third Street in Washington reported Thursday evening trying to contact a friend all afternoon and her line had been disconnected. Officers responded. The subject had gotten a new phone.
