Kasey Mark Lyon, 53, of Keota, was arrested Friday morning in the 2300 block of Ivy Avenue in Keota for pretrial violation on possession of a controlled substance.
Danial Bruce Slocum, 39, of Washington, was arrested Friday afternoon at Redwood and Highway 92 in Washington for driving under bar.
Ryley Dale Jones, 25, of Grand Mound, was arrested Friday afternoon in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington for probation violation on second-degree theft.
Nathaniel Matiyabo, 28, of North Liberty, was arrested Saturday afternoon in the 4500 block of Melrose Avenue in Iowa City on a Washington County warrant for fourth-degree theft.
Carrie Joann Kaub, 51, of Vidalia, Ga., was arrested Saturday evening at Red oak and Highway 22 in Riverside for OWI and driving on the wrong side of a two-way highway.
Alberto Guerra Sr., 39, of Washington, was arrested Sunday morning at G36 and Quince Avenue in Washington for operating while intoxicated.
A semi reportedly backed into another vehicle Friday morning at North 12th Avenue and East 11th Street in Washington. Officers responded. The vehicle was towed. Toby Gouge, 45, of Klemme, was cited for unsafe backing on a highway.
A single-vehicle rollover accident was reported Friday afternoon at Ginkgo Avenue and 190th Street in Wellman. Officers, West Chester QRS and Washington County Ambulance responded. One subject was transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Over $1,500 damage was reported.
A two-vehicle accident was reported Saturday afternoon in the 300 block of East Washington Street in Washington. Under $1,500 damage was reported. Information was exchanged.
A truck was reported in a ditch in the 2000 block of Highway 92 in Washington Saturday afternoon and it damaged the caller’s fence. Officers tagged the vehicle and will contact the owner about restitution.
A two-vehicle accident was reported Saturday night in the 3100 block of Highway 22 in Riverside. Under $1,500 damage was reported. Information was exchanged.
A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Sunday morning in the 2900 block of Highway 92 in Ainsworth. The vehicle was drivable. The incident was documented.
A vehicle reportedly went into a ditch at Highway 218 and 325th Street in Crawfordsville. The vehicle was towed. Under $1,500 damage was reported.
Traffic stop serious
Samantha Nicole Wheeler, 25, of Washington, was cited Friday afternoon at South Third Avenue and East Polk Street in Washington for driving under suspension.
A caller reported Friday morning that a pickup truck was following him too closely and making a dangerous pass at Highway 1 and 260th Street in Washington. Officers located the vehicle, which was driving fine.
A school bus violation was reported Friday afternoon in the 100 block of McCreedy Drive in Washington. The incident was documented.
Wayne Wickenkamp, 27, of Brighton, was cited Friday night at North Harrison and West Washington in Brighton for driving under suspension and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A gas odor was reported Friday afternoon in the 400 block of East Third Street in Washington. The residents had evacuated. Officers responded. Washington Fire Department was placed on stand-by. Alliant responded.
A vehicle was reported smoking in a driveway in the 400 block of West Main Street in Washington. Officers responded. The fire was extinguished.
A diesel fire was reported Saturday evening in the 4800 block of Hazelwood Avenue SW in Kalona. The fire was extinguished.
A caller reported Friday afternoon her daughter was at a residence in the 400 block of East Columbus Street in Crawfordsville with her boyfriend and a domestic altercation was taking place. Officers responded. Verbal only. The problem was resolved.
A caller in the 100 block of East Madison Street in Brighton reported Friday afternoon a juvenile had assaulted her 8-year-old son. The other child’s mother had come to her residence and appeared to be threatening her. Officers were advised. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 2700 block of Underwood Avenue in Ainsworth reported Friday afternoon the caller’s elderly mother received a grandparent’s scam call. The grandparent did not give any information.
All other thefts
A credit card was reported stolen Friday morning and used twice in the 2400 block of Highway 92 in Washington. Purchases totaled $1,385. The incident is under investigation.
A plasma screen TV was reported stolen Saturday afternoon in the 700 block of Monroe Street in Ainsworth. A report will be filed.
A caller reported losing her debit card in the 300 block of East Washington Street in Washington Saturday afternoon.
A caller in the 800 block of Second Place in Kalona reported Saturday afternoon his mailbox was run over. Officers responded.
A mailbox and post in the 1600 block of Fir Avenue in Wellman were reported vandalized Sunday morning. The incident was documented.
A subject reportedly dumped trash in a dumpster in the 200 block of West Second Street in Washington Saturday afternoon. Officers contacted the subject. No problem.
Liquor law violations
A suspicious vehicle was reported Friday night at 155th and Ivy Avenue in Wellman. Officers and Iowa State patrol responded. Jack Henry Guengerich, 17, of Washington, was cited for possession of alcohol under the legal age. Charges are pending for possession of a controlled substance – marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jenna Marie Eckrich, 17, of Oxford, was cited at the same time and location for possession of alcohol under the legal age.
A caller in the 200 block of Fourth Street in Richland reported Sunday afternoon his son and a friend witnessed two subjects taking items from a property. When confronted, the subjects returned the items and left in a black Ford. Officers were advised.
A black and white pitbull with a pink collar was reported Saturday afternoon in the 200 block of West Main Street in Brighton and it would not leave the caller’s property. Officers spoke with the subject who was taking care of the dog.
Loud music was reported Friday night in the 300 block of South Farmer Street in Brighton. Officers responded. A verbal warning was given.
Subjects in the 300 block of West 18th Street in Washington were reported making noise Sunday morning. Officers responded.
A barking dog was reported Saturday night in the 1900 block of Highway 92 in Washington. A written warning was given.
Alan L. Chase, 84, of Washington, was cited Sunday night in the 1900 block of Highway 92 in Washington for allowing a dog to bark.

Family offense non violent
A caller in the 200 block of Washington Street in Ainsworth reported Sunday morning that her child’s father had taken their 3-year-old child from the residence. Officers responded and contacted the father. No issue.
Two subjects were reported Sunday afternoon in the 1000 block of West Monroe Street in Washington yelling at each other. Officers responded. No problem.
A caller in the 500 block of South Iowa Avenue in Washington reported Friday afternoon that a subject was walking past the residence singing loudly and talking to himself or saying inappropriate things. Officers spoke with the subject. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 400 block of South Sixth Avenue in Washington reported Friday night that someone ordered three pizzas in his wife’s last name and had them delivered to another address. Officers were advised.
A deputy was requested Saturday morning in the 200 block of A Avenue in Kalona regarding suspicious activity. Officers spoke with the caller.

A caller reported Sunday evening that a vehicle was in an alley in the 1200 block of East Third Street in Washington and the driver had walked around on vacant property with a flashlight. The subject left quickly when the caller approached him. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
