Kevin Duane Gray, 49, of Cedar Rapids, was arrested Wednesday afternoon at Highway 218 and 192nd Street in Ainsworth for driving under bar and speeding.
Dieg Regaldo Andrade, 21, of Washington, was arrested Wednesday afternoon in the 2200 block of 250th Street in Washington on a warrant for failure to appear for trial on an original charge of driving under suspension.
Jamie Allen Medulan, 39, of Cedar Rapids, was arrested Wednesday afternoon in the 500 block of First Street SW in Cedar Rapids for failure to appear for show cause on a charge of third-degree burglary. The subject was also wanted on a Tama County warrant and is incarcerated in the Tama County Jail.
A two-vehicle accident was reported Wednesday afternoon in the 500 block of E Avenue in Kalona. Over $1,500 damage was reported. One person was transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
A vehicle reportedly struck a pole Wednesday afternoon at North 12th Avenue and East 15th Street in Washington. Over $1,000 damage was reported. The vehicle was towed.
A vehicle was reported plugged into a city electrical source Wednesday morning in the 500 block of C Avenue in Kalona. Officers spoke with the caller. The city will handle the situation internally with a letter to the registered owner. The incident was documented.
A vehicle was reported parked across the sidewalk Wednesday morning in the 300 block of North C Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. The vehicle was cited.
Paul Gerald Hawbaker II of Kalona was cited Wednesday afternoon in the 1600 block of Highway 22 in Wellman for unlawful passing of a school bus.
A caller in the 200 block of West Main Street in Washington reported Wednesday afternoon that his uncle assaulted him. Officers and Washington County Ambulance responded. No transport. The caller didn’t wish to pursue charges.
All other thefts
A bicycle was reported stolen from a business in the 100 block of East Third Street in Washington Wednesday afternoon. A report will be filed.
Officers reported Wednesday night being en route to the 300 block of West Second Street in Wayland for a search warrant. The warrant was executed.
A deer was reported stuck in a fence at Highway 218 and 175th Street in Riverside and it was still alive. The DNR was not available. Officers responded to assist.
A dog was reported in the roadway Wednesday morning in the 1100 block of Highways 1 and 78 in Brighton. Officers located the dog and returned it to the owner. A written warning was given.
All other offenses
A caller in the 100 block of East Washington Street in Washington reported Wednesday morning finding a bike in the alley dumpster. It appeared to be in good condition. The bike was taken to the bike shed.
Family offense non violent
A caller in the 300 block of West Washington Boulevard in Washington reported Wednesday morning that her husband was at the residence that she is to have claim to with their small child. Officers spoke with both parties. Charges of violating a no-contact order will be filed on Taylor Gwendolyn Unternahrer, 20, of Washington, and Michael John Unternahrer, 20, of Washington.
A verbal situation was reported Wednesday evening in the 1400 block of East Main Street in Washington. The situation was resolved.
A domestic situation was reported Wednesday night in the 2200 block of 250th Street in Washington. Verbal only. The parties were separated.
A caller in the 900 block of Eighth Street in Kalona reported Wednesday morning receiving a suspicious phone call from a subject claiming the caller had won a lottery. The caller was told to get a money card at a local business and to let the subject know when he would be leaving the house. The incident was documented. Officers were advised.
A couple of teenagers were reported walking around, getting in dumpsters, and kicking stuff around the street Wednesday morning in the 200 block of South Van Buren Street in Brighton. Officers responded.
A welfare check was requested Wednesday morning on a subject in the 300 block of A Place in Kalona. Officers responded. The subject was later found and was fine.
