Brandon Eugene Curtis Loring, 32, of Wayland, was arrested Thursday afternoon in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington for second-degree theft and credit card fraud.
Christopher Donald Jones, 22, of Brighton, was arrested Friday morning in the 400 block of East Main Street in Brighton for failure to appear for trial on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
A two-vehicle accident with no injuries was reported Thursday afternoon at Highways 22 and 218 in Riverside. Iowa State Patrol responded.
A vehicle was reported struck Thursday afternoon while it was parked in the 1300 block of North Marion Avenue in Washington.
A general fire alarm was reported Thursday afternoon in the 1000 block of North 12th Avenue in Washington. It was a false alarm. Units were disregarded.
A caller in the 200 block of North H Avenue in Washington reported Thursday afternoon that a subject had broken into his home and taken his personal checks. The subject had since written $15,000 worth of checks. The caller also reported it to the bank.
A caller in the 2300 block of 290th Street in Washington reported Thursday evening suspicious activity had occurred at the residence. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 500 block of North D Avenue in Washington requested assistance removing a bat from her residence Friday morning. Officers responded. The bat was removed.

A subject was reported passed out Thursday afternoon in the 100 block of Fifth Street in Kalona. The subject was reported breathing and smelled strongly of alcohol. Officers responded. The subject was awake and was locked out of the apartment he is staying in. The key was located.
A caller in the 400 block of East Harrison Street in Washington reported Thursday night hearing noises outside the residence. Officers checked the area.
A welfare check was requested Thursday afternoon on a subject in the 200 block of Elmer Street in West Chester who had fallen earlier. Officers spoke with the subject’s wife.
A welfare check was requested Thursday evening on a subject that was supposed to contact the caller. Officers contacted the subject. Everything was fine.
A welfare check was requested Friday morning on a subject in the 90 block of Washington Street in Riverside. Officers responded. Everything was fine. The subject had been in a verbal argument with her brother.
