Michael John Unternahrer, 23, of Washington, was arrested Tuesday night in the 300 block of West Washington Boulevard in Washington for domestic assault, simple.
An accident with no injuries was reported Tuesday afternoon at South Second Avenue and East Harrison Street in Washington. Officers responded. Over $1,500 damage was reported.
A vehicle reportedly continued southbound in the 3100 block of Highway 92 in Ainsworth Tuesday afternoon after an accident. The Iowa State Patrol checked the area and could not locate the vehicle. The incident was documented.
A section of Highways 78 and 1 in Brighton were reported blocked Tuesday afternoon. A semi couldn’t make the turn. Officers responded for traffic control.
A subject was reported choking another subject Tuesday night in the 300 block of West Washington Boulevard in Washington. The subject who was choked refused medical attention. Officers were unsure if a baby was left unattended in their apartment. A report will be filed.
The smell of marijuana was reported coming from an apartment in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington Tuesday night. Officers were unable to locate.
A possible case of dependent adult abuse was reported Tuesday morning in the 600 block of East Polk Street in Washington. Officers responded and will speak with the county attorney. The incident was documented.
All other thefts
Items were reported stolen from a construction site in the 1300 block of 310th Street in Brighton Tuesday afternoon. Officers responded. A report will be filed.
Items were reported stolen from a residence in the 1300 block of North Fifth Avenue in Washington Tuesday afternoon. The incident was documented.
Yelling and slamming doors were reported coming from an apartment in the 500 block of Sixth Street in Wellman Tuesday night. Officers responded. A verbal warning was given.
All other offenses
A caller reported Tuesday evening losing a coin purse in the 200 block of South Iowa Avenue in Washington and a car was parked in the same area it was dropped. The incident was documented.
Sewage was reported backing up into a residence in the 700 block of East Main Street in Washington Wednesday morning. Officers responded. The owner was given his options. The City of Washington was advised of the situation.
A caller in the 200 block of North Grant Street in Crawfordsville reported Tuesday evening that her sister’s boyfriend was intoxicated and had guns at the residence. Officers responded. The subjects will stay separate for the night.
An alarm was reported going off in an apartment in the 300 block of North C Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. There did not appear to be an issue.
A subject reportedly put out a cigar on the wall of a building in the 100 block of West Washington Street in Washington. Officers responded. The subject was spoken to and asked to move on.
A caller in the 1000 block of North Fifth Avenue in Washington requested Tuesday afternoon to speak with an officer in reference to his son and his son’s mother, who had been missing for the past 14 days. Officers responded. It was a civil custody issue.
