Chris Michael Kopet, 23, of Washington, was arrested Wednesday morning in the 700 block of North C Avenue in Washington for possession of a controlled substance.
Michael Brad Knuth, 21, of Washington, was arrested Wednesday afternoon in the City of Washington for third-degree sexual abuse.
Erin Nicole Winchel, 32, of Mt. Pleasant, was arrested Wednesday evening at the Washington County Jail for failure to appear for trial on a charge of fifth-degree theft.
A single vehicle rollover accident with injuries was reported Wednesday morning at Highway 218 and 265th Street in Ainsworth. The vehicle was reported on its side and the passenger was reported bleeding from the head. Officers, Ainsworth Fire, Ainsworth QRS, Washington County Rescue and Washington County Ambulance responded. Two patients were transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. The vehicle was towed.
An officer was requested Wednesday afternoon in the 1000 block of West Madison Street in Washington in reference to a possible shoplifter. Officers responded. Charges are pending.
All other thefts
A caller in the 3200 block of 130th Street in Riverside reported Wednesday afternoon that his nephew had been taking iron off of his property and selling it without his permission. Officers spoke with both subjects.
A subject’s debit card was reportedly denied Wednesday evening in the 300 block of East Washington Street in Washington so the subject had left his ID and advised he would return and pay for the purchase. Officers spoke with the subject who advised he would return in the morning, as he does not live in town.
A caller in the 30 block of Parkside Estates Road in Washington requested assistance to remove a snake from her residence Wednesday morning. Officers were unable to get the snake out of the house. The subject was given the number for animal control.
Family offense non violent
A caller in the 1000 block of West Monroe Street in Washington reported Wednesday afternoon his ex-girlfriend was trying to take their son and it was his scheduled time to have the child. Officers responded. The issue was resolved.
A caller in the 400 block of Ella Street in Riverside reported Wednesday evening having a no-contact order with her father. She reported her father was staying with her brother and that her brother and mother were harassing her in reference to her father. Officers responded. There was no violation. The subject misunderstood the document.
A welfare check was requested Wednesday morning on a subject in the 1100 block of East Second Street in Washington. Officers and Washington County Ambulance responded. The subject was all right and refused medical transport.
