Arrests

Julian Lee Kleineberg, 26, of Washington, was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the 10 block of Parkside Estates road in Washington for domestic abuse.

Keenan Darnell Alexander, 26, of Brighton, was arrested Tuesday night in the 200 block of North Mechanic Street in Brighton for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Derrick Deontae Fulton, 24, of Kalona, was arrested Tuesday night in the 200 block of First Street in Kalona for fifth-degree theft.

 

Traffic accidents

A two-vehicle accident was reported Tuesday morning at the Keokuk/Washington Road and 160th Street in Keota. Washington County Ambulance transported a patient to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. A state accident report will be filed.

 

Fire calls

Wellman Fire Department was requested Tuesday afternoon in the 3100 block of Johnson/Iowa Road in Wellman for a vehicle on fire. The fire was extinguished.

A caller in the 600 block of E Avenue in Kalona reported Tuesday night smelling something hot. Kalona Fire Department responded.

 

Fraud

A telephone scam was reported Tuesday morning in the 1100 block of East Van Buren Street in Washington. Officers spoke with the caller. The incident was documented.

A caller in the 100 block of East Third Street in Riverside reported Tuesday morning that she purchased jewelry on Facebook and had never received it. Officers attempted to contact the other party. The incident was documented.

A telephone scam was reported Tuesday morning in the 1300 block of North Sixth Avenue in Washington. The incident was documented.

Two subjects were reported going door-to-door Tuesday afternoon in the 600 block of North C Avenue in Washington. Officers were unable to locate.

 

All other thefts

Medication was reported stolen from a residence in the 1500 block of 280th Street in Brighton. Officers spoke with the caller. A report will be filed.

A bicycle was reported stolen Tuesday afternoon in the 200 block of West Madison Street in Washington. Officers responded. The incident was documented.

 

Vandalism

Damage was reported to a rental trailer Tuesday afternoon in the 100 block of South Sixth Street in Kalona and the caller had a former tenant who would not take calls. The incident was documented.

 

Intimidation/harassment

Misty Morgan Davis, 28, of Cedar Rapids, was cited Tuesday evening in the 600 block of Highway 1 in Washington for harassment. Elizabeth Ann Miller, 56, of Washington, was cited at the same time and location for simple assault.

A caller in the 500 block of South Sixth Avenue in Washington reported Tuesday evening that a subject kept driving by her residence and harassing her. Officers spoke with the caller.

 

Animal complaints

An aggressive dog was reported tied for three days in the 600 block of East Washington Street in Washington Tuesday afternoon. Officers responded. The owner had applied to the city to build a fence in his yard.

A dog reportedly bit a child Tuesday afternoon in the 400 block of East Polk Street in Washington. The child was in the emergency room. The dog’s shots were up to date. The incident was documented.

 

All other offenses

A possible violation of a no-contact order was reported Tuesday morning in the 100 block of West Fountain Street in Brighton. The incident was documented.

A subject in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington reported Tuesday afternoon having a court order for placement of a juvenile. The juvenile was transported from the courthouse to the jail then to Agency Shelter Care.
