Ryan Leigh Ransom, 28, of Solon, was arrested Thursday morning in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington on a warrant for probation violation on an original charge of OWI.
Jimmie Lee Stringer III, 22, of Robins, was arrested Thursday evening in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington for failure to appear for pretrial on a charge of assault with injury.
A deer accident was reported Thursday morning at 250th and Ginkgo Avenue in Washington. The vehicle sustained damage to the right front fender. Officers were unable to locate the deer. The vehicle was drivable. The incident was documented.
A two-vehicle accident was reported Thursday morning at South Iowa Avenue and East Van Buren Street in Washington. A subject was complaining of neck, shoulder and back pain. Washington County Ambulance and officers responded. One patient was transported to the Washington County Hospital and Clinics. One subject was cited fro failure to yield.
Traffic stop serious
An officer reported Thursday afternoon being out with a vehicle in the 200 block of F Place in Kalona in reference to reports of reckless drivers. The incident was documented. Officers will send license for reevaluation.
A fire alarm/smoke detector was reported going off Thursday morning in the 3200 block of Elm Avenue in Brighton. Brighton Fire Department responded. An electrician was at the house replacing smoke detectors. No problem.
A round bale of hay was reported on fire Thursday afternoon at Pleasant Plain Road and Peach Avenue in Fairfield. Brighton Fire Department responded and extinguished the bale.
A vehicle was reported broken into Thursday night in the 600 block of Highway 1 in Washington. A portable DVD player and change was taken.
All other thefts
A driver’s license was reported stolen Thursday afternoon in the 800 block of East Tyler Street in Washington. Officers responded. A report will be filed.
A wallet was reported stolen Thursday evening in the 600 block of Highway 1 in Washington. The victim was able to retain his wallet from the suspect. The suspect was gone on officers’ arrival. Officers attempted to locate. The incident was documented.
Trash was reported dumped Thursday morning in the 1200 block of 135th Street in Wellman. The incident is under investigation.
An officer reported being out in the 500 block of North Iowa Avenue in Washington Thursday evening in reference to an earlier complaint. Officers spoke with a subject and advised him not to return to the library, or to be on the benched in front. He was advised if he returns to the property he will be arrested for trespassing.
A dog was reported Thursday morning in the 200 block of South D Avenue in Washington acting aggressively. Officers located the owner. A verbal warning was given for dog running at large.
A barking dog was reported Thursday evening in the 900 block of East Van Buren Street in Washington. Officers responded and were unable to hear any dogs barking.
A vehicle with the door standing open was reported Thursday afternoon at North Fourth Avenue and East Second Street in Washington. A subject came outside. She had forgotten to close it. No problem.
A subject was reported Friday morning at Highway 218 and Vine Avenue in Ainsworth. Officers were unable to locate.
A welfare check was requested Thursday afternoon on an 8-year-old in the 400 block of East Madison Street in Washington. Officers responded. Everything was fine.
