Rollin J. Bontrager, 20, of Washington, was arrested Thursday afternoon in the 1600 block of Highway 22 in Wellman on a warrant for contempt/refusal/failure to pay fines or costs and failure to appear on an original charge of possession of alcohol.
A vehicle was reported in a ditch Thursday morning in the 1400 block of Ginkgo Avenue in Wellman. The vehicle was towed. A hold was placed on the vehicle until the owner contacts officers.
A two-vehicle accident was reported Thursday evening in the 100 block of West Washington Street in Washington. Officers responded. Information was exchanged.
A subject was reported in the emergency room Friday morning after being injured in an ATV accident at the fair motocross in the 2200 block of 250th Street in Washington. Officers responded. The incident was documented.
A second ATV accident was reported Friday morning in the 2200 block of 250th Street in Washington. The incident was documented.
A heat detector fire alarm was reported going off Thursday night in the 3100 block of Highway 22 in Riverside. Riverside Fire and Riverside QRS responded. A hot water line had burst.
A caller reported being assaulted Thursday night in the 2200 block of 250th Street in Washington. Charges were filed on Ivy Weirather, 17, of Montrose, for simple assault.
A caller reported Friday morning being assaulted in the 400 block of Third Street in Wellman. Officers responded.
A possible scam concerning a phone call was reported Thursday afternoon in the 100 block of South B Avenue in Washington. The incident was documented.
An abandoned bike was reported Thursday afternoon in the 300 block of West Washington Boulevard in Washington. The bike was taken to the bike shed. The incident was documented.
Some items were reported missing out of a back yard in the 600 block of North Iowa Avenue in Washington, a caller reported Thursday evening. The caller advised the items were in a neighboring yard. Officers responded. The items were confiscated until officers can speak with the neighbor.
All other thefts
A bike was reported stolen from the 1000 block of East Tyler Street in Washington Thursday afternoon. Officers were advised. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 2400 block of Highway 92 in Washington reported Thursday afternoon that there had been an internal theft. Charges were filed on Julie May Spears, 31, of Washington for fifth-degree theft.
A possible violation of a no-contact order was reported Thursday afternoon in the 100 block of Fifth Street in Wellman.
A caller in the 300 block of Center Street in West Chester reported Thursday afternoon a subject had her by the neck. Officers responded. Verbal only. The parties agreed to get along for the rest of the evening.
A juvenile was reported in a vehicle parked in the 800 block of East Harrison Street in Washington. The juvenile ran and left his bike behind. It is believed the juvenile was attempting to light the front seat on fire with a lighter. The bike was confiscated and will be held until the juvenile speaks with officers.
A caller reported Thursday evening that her 15-year-old son walked away and had not returned. Officers responded. The juvenile was located.
An officer reported Thursday night being out in the 600 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington with a subject who had been reported missing. Juvenile probation was contacted.
