Matthew Carl Newhouse, 38, was arrested Wednesday morning in the 200 block of East Washington Street in Washington for possession of marijuana.
Charisse Brandon, 50, of Chicago, Ill., was arrested Thursday morning in the 3100 block of Highway 22 in Riverside for credit card fraud and theft.
Traffic stop serious
An officer reported being on a traffic stop Wednesday morning in the 2100 block of Highway 1 in Washington. Charges are pending lab results.
A gun was reported stolen from a residence in the 10 block of Parkside estates road in Washington. Officers spoke with the caller. The caller later advised he found the gun.
All other thefts
A wallet was reported taken from a van in the 400 block of Eighth Avenue in Wellman. Items included debit cards, loose change and $20 bill. The wallet was later located.
Prescription pills were reported taken Wednesday morning in the 600 block of East Jefferson Street in Washington. The incident is under investigation.
A caller in the 100 block of Fifth Street in Kalona reported Wednesday morning that a subject was calling the business and harassing an employee. This had been happening for two weeks. Officers contacted the subject and advised him to stop calling the business.
An officer was requested Wednesday afternoon to a courtroom in the 200 block of West Main Street in Washington for a subject who is being unruly. Officers responded.
A welfare check was requested on a subject in the 400 block of East Main Street in Washington. Officers responded. No one was home and the vehicle was gone. The caller reported that the subject was out with a friend and was fine.
A caller in the 400 block of East Washington Street in Washington requested to speak with an officer Wednesday morning regarding suspicious activity. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 2100 block of 250th Street in Washington reported Wednesday evening trying to catch two dogs and found some suspicious items. Officers responded. No problem.
