Byran Powe, 27, of Riverside, was arrested Tuesday night in the 1100 block of Enterprise Drive in Riverside for driving under revocation and operating without the owner’s consent. He was also wanted on two Johnson County warrants.
Logan Moeller of Keota was cited Tuesday for failure to maintain control.
A sprayer was reportedly involved in an accident Tuesday evening at Highway 218 and 170th Street in Riverside. A Panama Transfer semi clipped the sprayer boom while it was travelling on the shoulder of Highway 218. Carl Cline of Birmingham was cited for failure to maintain control.
A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Wednesday morning at 230th and Riverside road in Washington. Officers and a tow truck responded. The vehicle was towed.
Traffic stop serious
Victor Elliot Frederick III, 34, of Riverside, was cited Tuesday night at Highway 22 and Enterprise Drive in Riverside for driving under suspension.
A caller reported Tuesday afternoon a verbal incident with another subject at 250th and Birch Avenue in Keota. Officers spoke with both subjects. Conflicting stories. The incident was documented.
A vehicle stop was reported Tuesday evening in the 100 block of South Marion Avenue in Washington after dispatch received a call about the driver driving erratically and littering. Officers spoke to the driver about her driving habits. Another subject had littered bottles and cigarette butts and was told to cease that activity.
Two vehicles were reported parked the wrong direction Tuesday night in the 1300 block of East Third Street in Washington. Officers spoke with the owners.
Motor vehicle theft
A vehicle was reported stolen Tuesday morning in the 700 block of North Pearl Street in Wayland. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle.
All other thefts
A .40-caliber pistol was reported stolen from a residence in the 20 block of Parkside estates Road in Washington.
A subject was reported taking pop cans out of a recycling container in the 700 block of West Second Street in Washington Tuesday afternoon. Officers spoke with the caller. The incident was documented.
An officer was requested Tuesday afternoon in the 5600 block of South 11th Avenue in Washington in reference to a truck being vandalized. Someone had scratched an inappropriate message into the side of the vehicle. Officers responded. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 200 block of North Washington Street in Riverside requested to speak with an officer Tuesday afternoon in reference to harassment. Officers spoke with the caller and will attempt to contact the other party.
A caller in the 2700 block of Havre Lane in Washington reported Tuesday evening a subject wouldn’t stop calling and texting. The caller requested a deputy speak with her. Officers spoke with both parties, who were advised to have no further contact.
Liquor law violations
Heather Marie Hopp of Fairfield was cited Tuesday evening at Fir Avenue and 305th Street in Brighton for possession of alcohol under the legal age second offense. Kenneth Dylan Whitehead of Fairfield was cited at the same time and location for possession of alcohol under the legal age first offense.
A caller in the 400 block of East Madison Street in Brighton reported Tuesday afternoon that subjects were parking their vehicles on his property. Officers spoke with the caller. The incident was documented.
Loose dogs were reported Tuesday evening in the 2000 block of 250th Street in Washington. Officers responded and spoke with the owner.
Hang-up 911 calls
A caller in the 200 block of North Washington Street in Riverside reportedly hung up after dialing 911 Tuesday morning. It was a verbal domestic between two subjects. One subject had left prior to officers’ arrival.
A caller in the 80 block of West Second Street in Riverside reported Tuesday afternoon a woman was screaming “help me” a few minutes earlier. Iowa State Patrol and officers responded. Officers were unable to locate.
A welfare check was requested Wednesday morning on subjects in the 200 block of East 15th Street in Washington. Officers responded.
