Zachary William Rarick, 29, of Washington, was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the 100 block of West Washington Street in Washington for possession of a precursor with intent to manufacture.
Jose Armando Flores-Rivera, 43, of Iowa City, was arrested Tuesday evening at A Avenue and Sixth Street in Kalona on a warrant for failure to appear for initial on OWI and no valid driver’s license.
Rosa Marie Harter, 51, of Batavia, was arrested Tuesday evening in the 200 block of West Main Street in Washington for failure to appear for trial on two counts of fifth-degree theft.
A caller in the 2800 block of 330th Street in Crawfordsville reported Tuesday evening that a truck drove past his residence and was very loud. The caller believed it had no muffler. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
A fire alarm was reported Tuesday night in the 100 block of South First Street in Kalona. Officers and Kalona Fire Department responded. There was no fire.
All other thefts
A subject reportedly entered a store in the 3100 block of Highway 92 in Ainsworth Tuesday afternoon and stated she had 11 bags of cans outside and was paid $88. She then spoke to another cashier stating she had 12 bags of cans and was paid $96. Officers were advised.
A caller reported Tuesday afternoon an ongoing problem of people in the 1000 block of North Eighth Avenue in Washington letting their dogs off the leash. Officers responded and spoke with the owner.
All other offenses
A new sex offender registry was reported Tuesday afternoon in the 1000 block of E Avenue in Kalona. The incident was documented.
Subjects were reported burning copper Tuesday night in the 100 block of North Taylor Street in Brighton. Officers responded.
