Arrests

George Wayne Simons, 52, of Nichols, was arrested Friday morning in the 3100 block of Highway 22 in Riverside for harassment and assault.

Jennifer Marie Stutzman, 30, of Wellman, was arrested Saturday morning in the 1100 block of Ginkgo Avenue in Wellman for public intoxication. A firearm was seized. Additional charges are pending.

Rocio Barrera, 18, of Washington, was arrested Saturday night in the 2200 block of 250th Street in Washington for simple domestic abuse assault. Diego Regaldo Andrade, 21, of Washington, was arrested at the same time and locatio0n for simple domestic abuse assault.

Ryan Allen Craig, 19, of Washington, was arrested Sunday morning in the 300 block of West Madison Street in Washington for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. Keenan Thyen, 16, of Washington, was cited at the same time and location for curfew violation.

Juan Manuel Gonzalez, 24, of Washington, was arrested Sunday afternoon in the 2600 block of Wayland Road in Washington for domestic abuse assault and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

Traffic accidents

A vehicle reportedly backed into another vehicle in the 500 block of Highway 1 in Washington. Information was exchanged. The incident was documented.

An accident was reported Friday afternoon at East Hickory and East Third Street in Riverside. Information was exchanged. The incident was documented.

A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Sunday morning in the 3300 block of Highway 218 in Crawfordsville. The incident was documented.

A caller reported hitting a deer Sunday morning in the 2300 block of Highway 1 in Washington. The incident was documented.

A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Sunday morning at Vine Avenue and 220th Street in Ainsworth. Officers responded. The incident was documented.

 

Disabled vehicles

A caller in the 100 block of East Second Street in Washington reported Sunday afternoon a vehicle she had called about was still parked in the same spot. Officers responded and chalked the tire.

 

Traffic other

A semi was reported parked against traffic Friday afternoon at West 17th Street and North Marion Avenue in Washington. The semi was gone on officers’ arrival.

A van was reported parked in the 100 block of East Second Street in Washington Saturday afternoon and it had been there for over a month. Officers responded. The van was parked on private property.

Several vehicles were reported in the 300 block of North Marion Avenue in Washington Saturday afternoon. The vehicles were gone when officers arrived.

 

Fire calls

Smoke was reported in the attic of a residence in the 100 block of B Avenue in Kalona Sunday afternoon. Kalona Fire Department responded.

 

Search warrant

A search warrant was reported executed Friday afternoon in the 100 block of C Avenue in Kalona. Charges are pending.

 

Intoxicated driver

Khaven Dean Wagenknecht, 17, of Washington, was cited Friday night at South B and West Monroe in Washington for operating while intoxicated.

 

Sexual assault

A case of sexual assault was reported Monday morning in Washington County. The incident is under investigation.

 

Fraud

A patron was reportedly presenting counterfeit $20 bills Sunday night in the 3100 block of Highway 22 in Riverside. The case will be turned over to DCI.

 

All other thefts

A gas drive-off in the amount of $20 was reported Friday night in the 1000 block of West Madison Street in Washington. The subject later returned and paid.

An air conditioner and recycling bin were reported stolen Saturday afternoon in the 500 block of South Mechanic Street in Brighton. The incident was documented.

A vehicle was reported taken Sunday morning in the 1300 block of East Third Street in Washington. A report will be filed.

 

Vandalism

A loaner car was reported scratched Friday afternoon in the 200 block of West Main Street in Washington. The incident was documented.

A caller in the 500 block of South Sixth Avenue in Washington reported Friday evening that tenants who just moved out did damage to property. The incident was documented.

A broken window was reported Sunday afternoon in the 300 block of North C Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. It appeared as though someone broke it from the inside.

 

Intimidation/harassment

A caller in the 300 block of East Jefferson Street in Washington reported Friday morning that a subject in Minnesota would not stop calling and texting her and her husband. It was a civil issue.

An officer was requested in the 600 block of West Adams Street in Washington Saturday afternoon in reference to harassment. Officers spoke with the caller and attempted to contact the other party.

 

Public intox

A subject was reportedly passed out in a yard in the 200 block of West Madison Street in Washington Friday morning. The subject then got into the passenger seat of a vehicle and left. Officers located the vehicle. Everything was fine.

 

Liquor law violations

A subject reportedly entered a store in the 1500 block of East Washington Street in Washington Friday afternoon, paid for an alcoholic drink and then went into the bathroom and mixed it with some pop. Officers were unable to locate.

 

Disorderly conduct

An officer reported Saturday night being out with a vehicle after receiving a report of an altercation. Officers spoke with all subjects involved. No altercation occurred and no injuries were noticed.

A caller in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington reported Saturday night that her neighbor banged on her door in the middle of the night. Officers spoke with both subjects.

A caller in the 200 block of East Third Street in Washington reported Sunday evening that her fiancé was fighting with his brother in the street. Officers responded. The parties were separated. The incident was documented.

 

Animal complaints

A bat was reported in a building in the 200 block of West Main Street in Washington Friday morning. The bat was removed.

A bat was reported in a residence in the 900 block of East Third Street in Washington Sunday morning. Officers responded.

Subjects in the 500 block of North D Avenue in Washington reportedly have a puppy tied outside all day, a caller reported. Officers spoke with the dog owner. The owner was made aware of the leash laws.

 

DP&Q

Loud music was reported at a residence in the 1300 block of Deer Run Drive in Riverside. Officers responded. The music was turned down on arrival.

Loud music and an infant crying were reported Friday night in the 300 block of East Madison Street in Washington. Officers responded.

Loud music was reported Saturday morning coming from a residence in the 200 block of West Main Street in Brighton. The incident was documented.

Loud music was reported Saturday night in the 500 block of East Seventh Street in Washington. Officers responded. The music was excessively loud.

 

All other offenses

A caller in the 500 block of South Second Avenue in Washington reported Friday night that his wife left with several subjects. Officers attempted to locate.

A subject was reported in the 1100 block of Enterprise Drive in Riverside Saturday morning asking customers for gas money. Officers responded.

A subject was reported Saturday evening in the 2200 block of 250th Street in Washington who was making a mess and wouldn’t leave. Officers responded.

 

Family offense non violent

A subject was reported breaking things with a baseball bat Sunday morning in the 2200 block of Yucca Avenue in Ainsworth. Officers responded. Charges are pending.

 

Suspicious activity

A caller in the 1800 block of Orange Avenue in Washington reported Friday afternoon that a subject had come to the back door and looked inside their garage. Officers spoke with the subject who was inquiring about purchasing an old truck. No problem.

A vehicle’s door was reported open Friday night in the 700 block of South Sixth Avenue in Washington. Officers responded.

Subjects in a vehicle that had been involved in suspicious activity were reported in the 2400 block of Palm Avenue in Washington Saturday morning. Officers responded and counseled the subjects.

A van reportedly pulled out from behind some hog buildings and ran the caller’s daughter off the roadway Saturday night in the 1800 block of Orange Avenue in Washington. Officers were unable to locate.

 

Runaway/missing person

A caller in the 600 block of South Second Avenue in Washington reported Saturday night that her 16-year-old brother did not come home and would not answer his cell. The juvenile was located and returned home.

 

Welfare check

An emergency key press was reported Saturday afternoon from an Onstar device in the 2500 block of Highway 92 in Washington. Officers responded. Kids had been playing with buttons in the car.

A caller reported Saturday afternoon that a subject was walking along Highway 218 in Crawfordsville. She was in a semi truck with her husband and child. They got into an argument and the husband pulled her out. Contact was made with the husband who was in Canton, Mo. He will pick his wife up at a weigh station.

A young boy was reported sitting in the 400 block of West Main Street in Washington Sunday night. Officers were unable to locate.
