Gage David Ruenger, 19, of Washington, was arrested Monday evening in the 400 block of North D Avenue in Washington for possession of prescription medication without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges are pending for possession of a controlled substance.
Orion Eugene Lovegreen, 28, of Kalona, was arrested Monday night in the 600 block of Fifth Street in Wellman on a warrant for interference with official acts, driving under suspension and failure to display a registration plate.
A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Monday night in the 1300 block of Vine Avenue in Riverside. The incident was documented.
A caller reported striking a deer Monday night at Highway 1 and 180th Street in Washington. Officers were advised. The incident was documented.
A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Tuesday morning on Highway 218 in Ainsworth. The incident was documented.
A tractor-trailer reportedly almost ran a bicyclist off the roadway Monday morning on Highway 1 in Kalona.
A suspicious odor was reported coming from a building in the 100 block of South Marion Avenue in Washington. Officers were unable to smell anything unusual.
A caller reported Monday night that an employee’s car had been moved to another parking lot as a prank. While it was parked someone wrote on it with window chalk and poured chocolate syrup and sugar on it. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 700 block of Third Street in Kalona reported Monday evening receiving suspicious harassing phone calls. Officers spoke with the caller.
Liquor law violation
Aaron Michael Jaspering, 28, of Washington, was cited Monday evening in the 1300 block of Ginkgo Avenue in Wellman for open container and excessive window tint. Charges are pending for possession of a controlled substance – marijuana.
A loose dog was reported Monday evening in the 1700 block of 250th Street in Washington. Officers responded.
A tree reportedly went down Monday afternoon at Highway 1 and Fountain Street in Brighton crossing one lane of traffic. The City of Brighton and DOT responded to remove the tree.
A tree reportedly fell on an old house in the 1200 block of North Sixth Avenue in Washington Monday afternoon. The caller didn’t believe anyone lived inside. Officers responded. The incident was documented.
Mutual aid was requested Monday afternoon at 140th and Franklin Avenue in Wayland for a barn and power lines that were down due to weather. Crawfordsville Fire Department responded.
