Jennifer Marie Stutzman, 30, of Wellman, was arrested Tuesday morning in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington on a warrant for carrying a weapon.
A subject reportedly passed an SUV pulling a camper in a no passing zone at Vine Avenue and East View Circle Drive in Riverside. The vehicle then swerved to avoid traffic, struck a cable box and came to rest in a ditch. Under $1,500 damage was reported.
A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Tuesday night on the ramp of Highway 218 and Highway 22 in Riverside. Officers were advised.
A fire alarm was reported Tuesday afternoon in the 400 block of East Polk Street in Washington. Washington Fire Department and officers responded. The problem was taken care of.
All other thefts
A caller in the 500 block of North Second Avenue in Washington reported Tuesday afternoon that a subject staying at the caller’s residence stole some items and possibly made sexual advances toward the caller’s daughter. Officers responded. The incident is under investigation.
A horse was reported out again in the 2300 block of Spruce Avenue in Ainsworth Tuesday morning. There were three horses out on officers’ arrival and they were on the owner’s property. The incident was documented. Iowa Equine Rescue was contacted in reference to the health of one of the horses.
A loose dog was reported Tuesday afternoon in the 200 block of A Avenue in Kalona. The dog was emaciated and acted hungry and thirsty. The incident was documented. The owner later called the communications center looking for the dog.
All other offenses
A caller in the 400 block of North Ella Street in Riverside reported Tuesday evening that her house was broken into. Nothing was missing. Officers responded. The incident was documented.
A vehicle was reported Tuesday morning sitting in the 600 block of Park Street in Ainsworth and it had been there for 20 minutes. Officers responded. Subjects were doing a property exchange. No problem.
Two subjects with several dogs were reported acting suspiciously Tuesday afternoon in the 3100 block of Highway 92 in Ainsworth. Officers spoke with the caller. No problem.
A subject was reported walking in the 3100 block of Highway 1 in Brighton Tuesday night and wearing dark clothing making it difficult to see her. Officers responded and gave the subject a ride to her residence.
