Rosell Saulsberry, 55, of Kalona, was arrested Wednesday afternoon at First Street and E Avenue in Kalona for driving under suspension.
William Nelson Turner, 50, of Gilman, was arrested Wednesday night in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington on a Marshall County warrant for parole violation.
James Curtis Dillard Jr., 20, of Chicago, Ill., was arrested Wednesday night at Highway 92 and Juniper Avenue in West Chester for failure to appear for trespassing.
Jason Duane Hart, 35, of Fort Madison, was arrested Wednesday night in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington for probation violation on OWI.
A caller reported Wednesday afternoon that a vehicle struck her vehicle in the 100 block of E Avenue in Kalona. Damage was reported to the bumper. The other vehicle left the lot driving on a flat. Officers contacted the other driver, who will be sent into DOT for a re-evaluation. The incident was documented. Information was exchanged.
A two-vehicle accident was reported Wednesday afternoon in the 3100 block of Highway 92 in Ainsworth. Ainsworth QRS, Washington County Ambulance and officers responded. Over $1,500 damage was reported. Two subjects were transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
A parked car was reported struck Wednesday afternoon in the 400 block of C Avenue in Kalona. Officers were advised. Information was exchanged.
Smoke was reported coming from a residence in the 100 block of West Fountain Street in Brighton Wednesday night. Officers and Brighton Fire Department responded. The fire was located in a pit outside the residence. Brighton Fire Department extinguished the fire.
All other thefts
A gas drive-off in the amount of $34.01 was reported Wednesday afternoon in the 300 block of East Washington Street in Washington. The incident was documented.
Vandalism was reported Wednesday morning at a business in the 400 block of North Iowa Avenue in Washington. The incident was documented.
A juvenile was reported with an AirSoft gun and shooting it in the 1000 block of West Madison Street in Washington. Officers were unable to locate.
A caller in the 300 block of East Main Street in Washington reported Wednesday afternoon that a subject was harassing him. Officers spoke with all parties. A verbal warning was given.
A dog was reported running around in the caller’s yard in the 500 block of East Seventh Street in Washington Wednesday morning. Officers caught the dog and returned it to the owner.
Two loose dogs were reported Wednesday morning in the 700 block of North C Avenue in Washington. Officers and the dogcatcher responded. The owner was looking for them. A verbal warning was given.
A bat was reported in a residence in the 900 block of East Third Street in Washington Thursday morning. Officers assisted.
All other offenses
A caller in the 200 block of A Avenue in Kalona reported Wednesday evening that the neighbor was burning in the yard and smoke was coming in the caller’s residence. Officers were unable to locate anything burning.
A possible violation of a no-contact order was reported Wednesday night in the 100 block of North Seventh Avenue in Washington. Officers spoke with the caller. No violation had occurred.
