Christopher Lee VanHorn, 22, of Cedar Rapids, was arrested Wednesday afternoon in the 200 block of Eighth Avenue SW in Cedar Rapids on a Washington County warrant for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Harley William Butler, 19, of Muscatine, was arrested Thursday morning in the 3100 block of Highway 22 in Riverside for OWI drug related, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver/sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, drug tax stamp violation and driving under suspension, and was cited for speeding. Matthew Dylan Nichols, 19, of Letts, was arrested at the same time and location for possession of alcohol under the legal age.
A deputy was requested Wednesday afternoon in the 400 block of East Main Street in Brighton regarding the caller receiving numerous phone calls form a company wanting to give him a loan. Officers spoke with the caller.
A caller in the 1300 block of Deer Run Drive in Riverside reported Wednesday evening that a subject continued to call and text after being asked to stop. Officers spoke with the other party, who was advised to have no further contact.
A loose dog was reported Wednesday afternoon in the 500 block of South Ninth Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. A verbal warning was given.
A caller in the 800 block of North Eighth Avenue in Washington reported a loos dog Wednesday afternoon. A verbal warning was given.
A loose dog was reported Wednesday evening in the 500 block of South Third Avenue in Washington. Officers located the dog and returned it to its home. The owner was not home.
A caller in the 300 block of West 18th Street in Washington reported Wednesday night subjects in the upstairs apartment were being loud and the caller’s children were trying to sleep. Officers were unable to locate the noise. No problem.

An officer was requested Wednesday morning to check for a truant student in the 1100 block of East Third Street in Washington. The student was located.
An officer was requested Wednesday morning in the 700 block of 14th Street in Kalona in reference to activity involving an elderly friend whom the caller believed was being bullied. Officers spoke with all parties.
A caller in the 200 block of North railroad Street in Ainsworth reported Wednesday afternoon a problem with a business prospect and possibly a scam. Officers spoke with all parties. It was a civil issue. The caller needs to send a signed letter to cancel her business with the company.
