Billie Earl Nowell, 27, of Washington, was arrested Friday afternoon in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington for driving under suspension.
Christopher Robert Ewalt, 22, of Wellman, was arrested Sunday morning in the 600 block of Third Street in Wellman for driving under revocation and interference with official acts. Additional charges are pending.
Michaela Catherine Delzell, 36, of Washington, was arrested Sunday afternoon in the 900 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington for operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent and driving under revocation.
Joshua Allen Gellerstedt, 23, of Moline, Ill., was arrested Sunday afternoon in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington for failure to appear on an original charge of possession of a controlled substance – marijuana.
A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Friday morning in the 2500 block of Highway 1 in Washington. Officers responded.
A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Friday evening at 265th Street and Highway 218 in Ainsworth.
A caller reported hitting a deer Friday night at Highway 218 at the boat ramp in Ainsworth. Officers were advised.
A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Saturday morning at Highway 218 and ramp ramp in Ainsworth. Officers were advised.
A two-vehicle accident was reported Saturday morning at East Third Street and North Fourth Avenue in Washington. Maria Garcia-Merino of Washington was cited for failure to have a valid driver’s license, failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to provide proof of insurance.
A vehicle reportedly spun out Sunday morning at Highway 218 and 130th Street in Riverside. Officers responded.
A hit-and-run accident was reported Sunday evening in the 3100 block of Highway 22 in Riverside. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 900 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington reported Saturday evening her daughter drove home intoxicated and he wanted an officer to respond. The subject denied driving. Information will be forwarded to the probation officer.
A stop arm violation was reported Friday morning in the 1600 block of Highway 22 in Wellman. Charges are pending.
A chimney fire was reported Friday evening in the 5500 block of Eagle Avenue SW in Kalona. Kalona Fire responded and assisted Johnson County.
A grass fire reportedly got out of control Saturday afternoon in the 2600 block of 320th Street in Wayland. Wayland Fire Department responded.
A search warrant was reported executed Saturday morning in the 200 block of South Van Buren Street in Brighton. Charges are pending.
A caller in the 100 block of East Second Street in Washington requested to speak with an officer Friday afternoon in reference to pressing charges on a client. In the first incident the subject had thrown chemicals in his roommate’s face. It the second incident the client punched a hole in the complainant’s wall. The incident is under investigation.
A caller in the 1100 block of East Second Street in Washington reported Friday afternoon a fight occurred between herself and her boyfriend. Officers responded. The incident was documented.
An officer was requested Friday evening in the 300 block of East Washington Street in Washington in reference to the caller’s son being assaulted. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 200 block of North Mechanic Street in Brighton reported Monday morning that her brother and her mother’s boyfriend had gotten into a fight. Officers responded.
A caller in the 100 block of East Madison Street in Brighton reported Friday night her 16-year-old brother had come home and appeared to be under the influence of something. He was also being aggressive and trying to leave. Officers responded. Charges are pending.
Possible drug activity was reported Sunday afternoon in the 1500 block of East Washington Street in Washington Sunday afternoon. Officers responded.
Motor vehicle thefts
A possible intoxicated driver reportedly took a vehicle from a residence in the 900 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington without the owner’s consent. Officers responded.
The theft of livestock was reported Saturday morning in the 2600 block of Highway 22 in Riverside. Officers responded. The caller reported 17 goats that were 2 years old had been taken. No suspects.
All other thefts
A caller in the 200 block of Franklin Street in West Chester reported Friday evening someone had taken firewood from his property within the last week. Officers were advised.
Laundry was reported missing from the Laundromat in the 1000 block of West Monroe Street in Washington Sunday morning. The caller had left the clothes there since Friday. Officers reviewed the tape. An employee had put the clothes in a safe place. Items were returned. Unfounded.
An officer was requested Sunday afternoon in the 100 block of South Iowa Avenue in Washington in reference to the theft of a fundraiser can. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 2800 block of 130th Street in Riverside reported Friday night that her ex-husband was threatening to harm her. Officers spoke with the caller.
A subject was reported staggering Saturday morning in the 400 block of East Main Street in Washington. Officers responded. The subject was transported to Washington County Hospital for evaluation. Charges are pending.
Someone reportedly dumped bags of trash in the 2200 block of Yucca Avenue in Ainsworth Saturday morning. Officers made contact with a subject whose information was inside. The trash was removed.
Two black Labs were reported running loose Sunday morning in the 500 block of South Third Avenue in Washington. Officers were unable to locate.
A barking dog was reported Friday evening in the 1000 block of East Third Street in Washington. Officers spoke with the owner.
Loud music was reported coming from a business in the 500 block of east Seventh Street in Washington Friday night. Officers responded.
All other offenses
A caller reported a situation involving a rental property and the previous owner Friday morning in the 600 block of North Fifth Avenue in Washington. The caller reported the previous owner had shown up the previous night and was demanding current tenants let him inside to look for things that may belong to him. They refused and told him they would call the police. He eventually left. The caller stated he is not welcome on the property and had been given opportunity to retrieve items.
A deputy was requested Saturday morning in the 1400 block of Fir Avenue in Wellman. The caller is the executor of the estate and had been advised her brother was at the property tearing down a building. Officers responded. The subject was located and advised if he was going to do anything further he needed to contact the caller for approval.
A caller in the 600 block of North Seventh Avenue in Washington reported Sunday night wanting to pick up her father’s belongings and a subject was not allowing her to. Officers responded. The subjects received the belongings and were advised not to return.
Family offense non violent
An officer was requested Friday evening in the 400 block of South Third Avenue in Washington in reference to her 15-year-old stepson being disrespectful and refusing to leave the residence. Officers responded.
A caller in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington reported Saturday afternoon a child was getting in trouble by his father and the caller was concerned it could be hurtful. Officers responded. Child Welfare Services will be contacted.
A caller in the 200 block of North Mechanic Street in Brighton reported Sunday afternoon her son was acting out again. Officers spoke with the mother.
A caller in the 1000 block of Ninth Avenue in Wellman reported Saturday night her daughter left the house.
