Christopher Robert Ewalt, 21, of Wellman, was arrested Wednesday night in the 600 block of Third Street in Wellman on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture, possession of a controlled substance – marijuana, unlawful possession of prescription drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Additional charges are pending lab results.
A caller reported Wednesday afternoon being side-swiped in the 1000 block of Maple Avenue in Kalona. Officers responded. The incident was documented.
A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Wednesday night in the 2800 block of Spruce Avenue in Crawfordsville. The incident was documented.
A truck with no license plates was reported sitting in the 500 block of South Second Avenue in Washington Wednesday morning. Officers responded. A 24-hour tow tag was placed.
A vehicle was reported possibly on fire Wednesday evening at Highway 218 in Riverside. Officers responded. Riverside Fire Department was disregarded.
A school bus stop arm violation was reported Wednesday morning in the 300 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. School officials had waived the driver through. No violation.
A small grass fire was reported Wednesday afternoon at 135th and Highway 218 in Riverside. Riverside Fire Department responded.

A cell phone was reported stolen Thursday morning in the 600 block of West Monroe Street in Washington. Officers responded.
Subjects were reported having an argument Wednesday afternoon in the 700 block of 12th Avenue in Wellman. Officers responded. The parties were separated. It was a civil matter.
A dead deer was reported Wednesday morning in the 1500 block of Highway 1 and 78 in Brighton. Officers responded. A deer tag was issued.
A subject with a paper bag was reported Wednesday afternoon at South Second Avenue and East Madison Street in Washington. Officers responded. No problem.
A subject was reported sitting in a vehicle in the 600 block of West Monroe Street in Washington Wednesday afternoon. The caller had knocked on the window and the subject seemed confused. Officers responded. The subject was fine.
