Arrests

Logan Ryan Flanary, AKA Logan Ryan Buechler, 19, of Riverside, was arrested Wednesday evening in the 400 block of North Elm Street in Riverside for failure to appear for show cause on second-degree theft and third-degree burglary.

Thomas James Burgus, 55, of Sperry, was arrested Wednesday night at Wayland Road and 297th Place in Washington for operating while intoxicated.

 

Traffic accidents

A vehicle was reported in the east ditch at Wayland Road and 290th Street in Washington Wednesday evening. Officers responded. No damage to the vehicle.

A rollover accident with possible trap and injuries was reported Thursday morning in the 1000 block of 190th Street in Keota. Officers, Keota Fire Department, Keota First Responders, Washington County Rescue, Wellman Fire Department and Washington County Ambulance responded. Over $1,500 damage was reported. Rollin Barnes was cited for failure to maintain control causing injury and no proof of insurance accident related. Two patients were transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

 

Animal complaint

A dog was reported outside in the weather Wednesday afternoon in the 500 block of A Avenue in Kalona. It was reported tangled in a chain and stuck on the ice. Officers moved the dog to the porch. The owners were advised of the complaint.

 

Family offense non violent

A caller in the 300 block of East Sycamore Street in Riverside reported Wednesday morning that her 15-year-old grandson was refusing to leave the residence with her so she could go to work. Officers responded. The juvenile complied and left with the caller.
