A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Wednesday night on Highway 218 in Riverside. Officers responded.
A vehicle was reported broken down Wednesday morning in the 2600 block of Ginkgo Avenue in West Chester. The caller said the vehicle was in a bad spot and he almost hit it. Dispatch was unable to make contact with the registered owner.
A caller in the 400 block of Fifth Street in Wellman reported Wednesday morning that several vehicles had not moved since the snowfall. Officers issued parking citations to four vehicles.
A caller in the 500 block of North Marion Avenue in Washington reported Wednesday afternoon that a 14-year-old driver had squealed away from his residence and the vehicle was packed with kids, including the caller’s stepson. Officers attempted to locate. Officers spoke with the driver’s mother and advised her of the complaint.
Smoke was reported coming from a building in the 300 block of North Marion Avenue in Washington Thursday morning. Officers and Washington Fire Department responded. It appeared to be the boiler kicking on. No issue.
Possible drug activity was reported Wednesday morning in Washington County. A report will be filed.
A caller in the 500 block of Park Street in Ainsworth reported Wednesday afternoon finding some suspicious pictures on his camera. Officers spoke with the caller. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 700 block of East 15th Street in Washington reported Wednesday morning that a subject was threatening and harassing her. Officers responded. The subject left the residence.
A deputy was requested Wednesday afternoon in the 700 block of Sixth Street in Kalona for a fourth grade student they were unable to calm down. Officers responded. The student calmed down and was turned over to his parents.
A caller reported Wednesday afternoon receiving information that several young subjects entered a residence that she owns. Officers responded. Possible trespass charges are pending.
All other offenses
A garage door to a residence in the 1300 block of Deer Run Drive in Riverside was reported open Wednesday evening and had been open for several days. Officers responded. Everything appeared fine. The door was shut.
A caller reported a coat was taken from the 600 block of West Third Street in Washington Wednesday night. It was possibly taken accidentally. His keys were in the coat and another coat that was very similar was there.
