Arrests

Joshua Foster Stevens, 27, of Washington, was arrested Thursday morning in the 300 block of South C Avenue in Washington for sexual exploitation of a minor.

Tyler Lane Ousey, 19, of Washington, was arrested Thursday morning in the 400 block of East Madison Street in Washington for probation violation on possession of marijuana.

 

Traffic accidents

A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Thursday morning at Highway 218 and 192nd Street in Ainsworth. The car was drivable but had considerable damage. The deer was deceased in the ditch. The incident was documented.

A passing motorist reportedly struck a parked vehicle Thursday morning in the 700 block of South Marion Avenue in Washington. Officers attempted to locate the driver to exchanged information.

An accident was reported Thursday afternoon in the 1000 block of West Madison Street in Washington. Under $1,500 damage was reported. Information was exchanged.

A vehicle was reported struck by another vehicle Thursday evening while parked in the 100 block of South Marion Avenue in Washington. Officers responded and attempted to locate the other vehicle. Damage was about $1,500. The incident was documented.

A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Thursday night at Highway 218 and 140th Street in Riverside. The vehicle was drivable. The deer was deceased and off the shoulder of the road. The incident was documented.

 

Traffic other

A stop arm violation was reported Thursday morning in the 1600 block of Highway 22 in Wellman.

 

Assault

A caller reported Thursday afternoon that a child had kicked her son while he was getting on the school bus, which caused injury to his hand. Officers spoke with the principal. The school will handle the incident. The incident was documented.

A caller in the 500 block of 13th Street in Wellman reported Thursday afternoon her boss had shoved her around. Officers spoke with both parties. The incident was documented.

A possible sexual assault was reported Friday morning in the 500 block of North Farmer Street in Brighton. Officers responded. The victim would not cooperate and did not want charges filed. Suspect was not at the residence. The incident was documented.

 

Hang-up 911 calls

Dispatch reported Thursday night receiving two hang-up 911 calls from the 500 block of West Madison Street in Washington. Officers responded. A subject had reportedly been assaulted. The incident is under investigation.

 

Liquor law violations

Cited for possession of alcohol under the legal age Thursday night in the 2800 block of 315th Street in Crawfordsville were: Cey James Saeugling, 18, of Crawfordsville; Jacob Charles Johnson, 17, of Mt. Pleasant; and Tyler Matthew Robinson, 20, of Mt. Pleasant.

A subject in the 200 block of A Avenue in Kalona was reported playing loud music Thursday night. Officers responded. Everything was quiet. The incident was documented.

A bike was reported located in the 700 block of South Second Avenue in Washington Thursday morning. It was taken to the bike shed. The incident was documented.

A caller in the 500 block of South Eighth Avenue in Washington requested to speak with an officer Thursday afternoon in reference to phone calls she was receiving. Officers spoke with the caller.

 

Family offense non violent

A caller in the 2300 block of 150th Street in Kalona reported Friday morning that her husband was making statements that had her concerned for her safety. Officers spoke with both parties. They will stay away from each other for the night and the male subject will leave in the morning.

 

Welfare check

A welfare check was requested Thursday afternoon in the 2700 block of Highway 1 in Washington for a subject who had been recently hospitalized. Officers contacted the subject.

Two small children were reported walking in the roadway in the 700 block of 13th Street in Wellman Thursday evening. Officers located the father. Everything was fine.
