Ryan Frederick Kimmel, 22, of Washington, was arrested Thursday afternoon in the 700 block of North Marion Avenue in Washington for probation violation on harassment.
Christopher Jones of Brighton was arrested Thursday afternoon in the 400 block of East Main Street in Brighton for harassment.
Christopher Maxwell White, 20, of Washington, was arrested Thursday evening in the 200 block of East Fountain Street in Brighton for driving while barred, operating motor vehicle without owner’s consent, and failure to maintain control.
Mary Megan Jenkins, 36, of Washington, was arrested Thursday night in the 500 block of West Madison Street in Washington for public intoxication and interference with official acts.
Nicholas Charles Bowman, 24, of Harper, was arrested Friday morning at Highway 22 and Juniper Avenue in Kalona for no proof of insurance – accident and failure to maintain control.
An accident was reported Thursday afternoon in the 1500 block of East Washington Street in Washington. Alejandro Garcia of Washington was cited for failure to yield while turning left.
Three young children were reported playing in the middle of the street Thursday afternoon in the 600 block of East Second Street in Washington. Officers were unable to locate.
All other thefts
A caller in the 1300 block of East Main Street in Washington reported Thursday morning that she left her purse on the back of her vehicle when she left home and that she couldn’t find it. The purse was later recovered.
A minnow trap was reported stolen Thursday evening in the 200 block of A Avenue in Kalona. The incident was documented.
A tenant was reportedly refusing to leave a property in the 300 block of West Washington Boulevard in Washington Thursday afternoon after being evicted and was making threatening statements. Officers spoke with all parties. It was a civil issue.
A caller in the 200 block of South D Avenue in Washington reported Thursday afternoon a subject was trying to beat him up. Officers responded. No one wanted to press charges.
A subject in the 400 block of East Main Street in Brighton was reported yelling obscenities at the caller Thursday evening. Officers responded.
A dog in the 200 block of West Sixth Street in Washington reportedly was living in a dirt hole and had been on a chain for over a year. It was rarely fed or watered. Officers spoke with the uncle of the owner.
A barking dog was reported Friday morning in the 300 block of South 15th Avenue in Washington. Officers responded.
Loud music was reported coming from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Walnut Avenue in Riverside Thursday evening. Officers responded.
All other offenses
A bike was reported in the 1100 block of East Taylor Street in Washington Thursday morning and it had been there for three weeks. It was taken to the bike shed.
An officer was requested Thursday afternoon in the City of Washington to speak with a student who was acting inappropriately in the school transport vehicle. Officers responded.
A caller in the 700 block of South Ninth Avenue in Washington reported Wednesday morning that his neighbor had a video camera facing his property. Officers spoke with the caller and will speak to the neighbor.
A caller in the 500 block of North Third Avenue in Washington reported Wednesday evening hearing the doorbell ring and someone knocking at their back door. Officers were unable to locate anything suspicious. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 700 block of East Washington Street in Washington reported Wednesday night someone in the street broke the window of a car and was loading it onto a trailer. Officers responded. The owner had sold the vehicle and the new owners were picking it up.
A screen door was reported open Thursday afternoon at a residence in the 100 block of South B Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 500 block of Ninth Avenue in Wellman reported Thursday night that two vehicles had been following her. The incident is under investigation.
Hang-up 911 calls
Dispatch reported receiving a total of nine hang-up calls from the 700 block of Sixth Street in Kalona Thursday evening. Officers located the phone and returned it to its rightful owner.
A caller in the 200 block of A Avenue in Kalona reported Saturday evening that her 3-year-old nephew was missing. Officers responded and located the child.
A caller in the 100 block of South Main Street in Crawfordsville reported Monday evening her 22-year-old autistic son was missing. Officers, Crawfordsville Fire, Washington Fire, and Ainsworth Fire responded. The subject was located.
Public service contact
A vehicle was reported Friday afternoon in the 2400 block of Highway 92 in Washington with a baby sleeping in the back and no one else in the vehicle. Officers counseled the parents.
An officer was requested Tuesday afternoon in the 600 block of East Polk Street in Washington regarding options to limit the time subjects spend there when not visiting a family member. Officers responded. The subjects left before officers’ arrival. A letter will be sent advising the subjects of visiting times.
A welfare check was requested Saturday morning on a subject in the 300 block of South Benton Street in Brighton. Officers responded. No problem.
A subject was reported sitting in the 1500 block of Highway 1 in Washington Saturday evening. Officers responded.
A student in the 1400 block of 315th Street in Brighton was reportedly not in school Wednesday morning and hadn’t been to school in a few days. Officers spoke with the mother. The child was fine.
A caller in the 200 block of East Third Street in Washington reported Wednesday afternoon having an incident with a tenant who was supposed to have moved out. It was a civil issue.
A welfare check was requested Wednesday afternoon on the caller’s 13-year-old daughter in the 600 block of East Second Street in Washington. Officers responded. It was a civil issue. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 2600 block of Nutmeg Avenue in Washington reported Wednesday afternoon his father had passed away in February and he believed his family was coming onto his father’s property and taking items. A lock was cut off a machine shed. Nothing appeared to be missing. The incident was documented.
