Andres Lucho Polito, 26, of Kalona, was arrested Thursday morning in the 100 block of South Sixth Street in Kalona on a Washington County warrant for harassment.
A caller in the 100 block of West Washington Street in Washington reported Thursday afternoon someone backed into her. Officers responded. Both vehicles were backing out at the same time. Damage was over $1,500. Sheri Aranda of Mt. Pleasant was cited for no driver’s license and no insurance.
A two-vehicle accident was reported Thursday evening at Sand Road and Highway 22 in Riverside. One vehicle had rolled. Subjects were injured. Washington County Ambulance, Riverside QRS, Riverside Fire and Rescue and officers responded. The highway was closed for a short period of time.
A possibly drunk driver reportedly crossed the centerline and pulled out in front of the caller Thursday night in the 200 block of East Washington Street in Washington. Officers located the vehicle. The driver had been consuming alcohol but was under the legal limit.
An illegally parked vehicle was reported Thursday morning at Fifth Street and A Place in Kalona. Officers contacted the owner.
An enclosed trailer was reported parked in the 100 block of South Seventh Avenue in Washington Thursday morning and it had been parked there for about five weeks. Officers will contact the owner.
Dispatch reported Thursday evening receiving numerous reports of hog remains in the roadway at Highway 1 and Highway 22 in Kalona. The Iowa Department of Transportation was advised.
A field fire was reported Thursday afternoon in the 1400 block of West Fifth Street in Washington. Washington Fire Department responded. The fire was extinguished.
A caller in the 1200 block of North Third Avenue in Washington reported being assaulted Friday morning. Officers spoke with the caller.
The windshield of a vehicle was reported damaged Thursday evening in the 2200 block of 250th Street in Washington. Officers responded. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 100 block of Fifth Street in Kalona reported Thursday afternoon that a subject he was trying to sign a vehicle title over to was harassing him. Officers spoke with both parties. They are to have no more contact except through attorneys.
A student was reported in the principal’s office Thursday morning in the 600 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington and was out of control. The student was counseled. The problem was resolved.
A stray dog was reported Thursday evening at a residence in the 300 block of Blackberry Avenue in Riverside. Officers spoke with the caller.
A dog was reported running loose Thursday night in the 800 block of South D Avenue in Washington. Officers responded.
A bat was reported in a residence in the 200 block of South C Avenue in Washington Thursday night. Officers responded and removed the bat.
A barking dog was reported Thursday afternoon at East Main Street and South 10th Avenue in Washington. Officers were unable to locate.

A subject was reported knocking on a window in the 300 block of West Main Street in Washington Thursday night. Officers responded. The subjects were separated.
A caller in the 500 block of North Marion Avenue in Washington reported Thursday morning that a subject was giving out his number to bill collectors. Officers spoke with both subjects.
A vehicle and trailer were reported Thursday night near a construction site at Highway 218 and 320th Street in Crawfordsville. Officers responded. The vehicle was having mechanical problems.
A caller in the 400 block of South Marion Avenue in Washington reported Thursday afternoon that the father of her child was refusing to give some of his belongings back to her. Officers responded. The other party also called and reported the female subject was refusing to leave.
