Arrests
David Keith Brown, 39, of Wellman, was arrested Friday afternoon in the 700 block of Seventh Avenue in Wellman on a warrant for probation violation on failure to affix tax stamp. Dyan Marie Lee-Brown, 36, of Wellman was arrested at the same time and location for probation violation on child endangerment.
Donald James King, 39, of Centralia, Ill., was arrested Saturday morning in the 2200 block of Larch Avenue in Washington for third-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools, trespass and assault on a peace officer. Mark S. Grimes, 26, of Centralia, was arrested at the same time and location for third-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools, trespass and interference with official acts.
Kasey Mark Lyon, 54, of Keota, was arrested Saturday evening in the 2300 block of Ivy Avenue in Keota for pretrial violation on possession of a controlled substance.
Travis Lamar Garrett, 34, of Ollie, was arrested Sunday morning in the 1100 block of East Washington Street in Washington for third-degree burglary and second-degree theft.
Jill Ann Newhouse, 38, of Washington, was arrested Sunday evening in the 300 block of North Iowa Avenue in Washington for serious assault.
Layton Keith Rogers, 20, of Harrison, Ar., was arrested Sunday night at Highway 92 and ramp ramp in Ainsworth for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of prescription medication, and two counts of a schedule II narcotic. Charges are pending for intent to deliver.

Traffic accidents
A two-vehicle accident was reported Saturday afternoon in the 200 block of West Madison Street in Washington. Information was exchanged.
A vehicle was reported on its top Sunday morning at 170th and Yucca Avenue in Ainsworth. Officers responded. The vehicle was towed.

Traffic stop serious
A vehicle stop was reported Friday night at E Avenue and Fourth Street in Kalona. The stop resulted in a search warrant for a residence in the 2000 block of Highway 22 in Kalona.

Traffic other
A stop arm violation was reported Friday evening in the 700 block of South Iowa Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. A citation was issued.
A vehicle was reported travelling at a high rate of speed Saturday afternoon in the 100 block of East Second Street in Washington. The incident was documented.

Fire calls
A fire was reported Saturday afternoon in a residence in the 3100 block of 190th Street in Ainsworth. Everyone was out of the house. Flames were reported coming out of the roof. Ainsworth Fire, Riverside Fire, Kalona Fire, Washington Fire, Crawfordsville Fire and Washington County Ambulance responded. State fire marshal was contacted.

Drug/narcotics violation
A suspicious item that an employee had dropped was reported Friday afternoon in the 100 block of South Iowa Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. The incident was documented.
An officer reported Sunday morning being out with an unoccupied vehicle in the 100 block of North H Avenue in Washington. Multiple pellet guns, alcohol and drug paraphernalia were seized. The owner of the vehicle was contacted. The incident is under investigation.

Search warrant
A search warrant was reported being executed Saturday morning in the 2000 block of Highway 22 in Kalona. Officers responded. Charges are pending.
A search warrant was reportedly executed on a vehicle in the 1500 block of East Seventh Street in Washington Saturday morning.

Fraud
A caller in the 100 block of North Iowa Avenue in Washington reported a possible scam Friday afternoon. Officers responded. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 1300 block of North Sixth Avenue in Washington reported Sunday morning being the victim of Internet fraud. Officers spoke with the caller. The incident was documented.

All other thefts
A caller in the 400 block of East Second Street in Washington reported Friday afternoon her brother was having money taken from his wallet while on the mini bus. The subject was also taking food out of her brother’s lunchbox. Officers spoke with all parties. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 2400 block of Tuttle Lane in Washington reported Friday evening her daughter’s phone had been stolen. Officers responded. The phone was returned.
A gas drive-off in the amount of $30 was reported Saturday morning in the 1000 block of West Madison Street in Washington. Officers spoke with the driver. He will return and pay.
A cell phone was reported taken from a residence in the 2600 block of Wayland Road in Washington Sunday evening. Officers responded. Charges were filed on Cindy Jones, 11, of Washington for fifth-degree theft.

Intimidation/harassment
Juveniles were reported fighting Friday afternoon in the 400 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington. Officers were unable to locate. Officers later responded to the 800 block of South Second Avenue in Washington. A report will be filed.
A caller in the 300 block of F Avenue in Kalona reported Friday evening a subject was harassing his daughter. Officers responded. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 100 block of East Columbus Street in Crawfordsville reported Saturday evening two subjects were harassing her daughter. Officers responded and spoke with all parties.
A civil issue was reported Saturday night in the 1200 block of Spruce Avenue in Brighton regarding subjects posting things on Facebook that were untrue. Officers spoke with the subjects.
A caller in the 500 block of West Madison Street in Washington reported Sunday afternoon that a subject was at the residence saying the caller owed him money. It was a civil issue.

Vandalism
A broken window was reported Friday evening in the cabin in the 1000 block of West Madison Street in Washington. Officers were advised.
A caller in the 2000 block of 300th Street in Washington reported Saturday morning that a desk drawer and filing cabinet had been forced open. Lock and door on filing cabinet were damaged. A tool was left behind. The caller believed nothing of value was missing. A report will be filed.
A deputy was requested Sunday afternoon in the 1400 block of Iowa River Road in Riverside in reference to damage to a property from 4-wheelers. Officers responded.

Trespass
A subject reportedly trespassed in an apartment in the 200 block of North Marion Avenue in Washington, a caller reported Friday afternoon. Officers spoke with all parties.

Animal complaints
A horse was reported running loose Sunday morning in the 2200 block of 250th Street in Washington. Officers and Washington Fire Department responded. They were able to get the horse back into the pasture.
Two dogs were reported not chained up Sunday afternoon in the 400 block of East Main Street in Washington. This is an on-going problem. Officers spoke with two residents.

DP&Q
Loud music was reported coming from a residence in the 20 block of Parkside Estates Road in Washington Friday night. Officers responded. Shane Waltman was cited for disorderly conduct – DP&Q.

Barking dog
A barking dog was reported Saturday afternoon in the 300 block of West Main Street in Brighton. Officers were unable to locate.
A barking dog was reported Sunday afternoon in the 1200 block of F Avenue in Kalona. Officers were unable to locate.

Curfew/loitering vagrancy
Two juveniles were reported Monday morning in the park in the 900 block of West Main Street in Washington. Both were given written warnings for curfew violation.

All other offenses
Two 4-wheelers were reported driving on a property in the 1400 block of Iowa River Road in Riverside Friday night. Officers responded.
A subject was reported burning leaves Saturday evening at East 11th Street and South Second Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. The subject was on private property.
Subjects were reported shooting a BB gun in the 900 block of Eighth Avenue in Kalona. Officers spoke with a subject at the residence.
Three juveniles were reported Saturday evening riding bikes and a razor in the street. They had reportedly been in people’s driveways. The caller reported they were asked to stop and they became belligerent and threw rocks. Officers were unable to locate.
A subject was reported Saturday night in the 100 block of South B Avenue in Washington trying to gain access to a residence. Officers responded. The subject was a former resident.

Family offense non violent
A caller in the 2400 block of 247th Street in Washington reported Sunday afternoon her daughter was housesitting for the last month and trashed the place while her parents were away. The caller wanted her to leave the residence, although she was refusing to pack up her belongings. The daughter was currently not at the residence and had been leaving threatening messages. The daughter later retrieved her belongings without incident.
A subject was reported out of control Sunday afternoon in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington. She stayed at the residence for the night.

Welfare check
A welfare check was requested Saturday afternoon on two small children in the 2400 block of Highway 92 in Washington who were in a vehicle alone. Officers spoke with the parent.
A young juvenile about 10 years old was reported walking in the 2600 block of Wayland Road in Washington carrying a book bag. Officers were unable to locate.
Subjects were reported in the 500 block of South Marion Avenue in Washington with a baby that had been crying for about 20 minutes. The caller reported hearing the adults yelling at the baby to stop crying and could hear “slapping” sounds. Officers responded. The baby was fine.
A subject was reported yelling for help Sunday evening in the 200 block of North Railroad Street in Ainsworth and the caller requested a welfare check. Officers spoke with two brothers who were arguing over a video game.

Suspicious activity
A caller in the 600 block of Whitetail Court in Wellman reported Friday morning a subject had set up a Facebook page for his 12-year-old daughter. The subject was putting the caller’s information on the page. Officers spoke with the caller. Nothing criminal. The incident was documented.

Civil dispute
A civil issue involving the caller’s child and ex-husband coming to the residence in the 2700 block of Havre Lane in Washington was reported Sunday afternoon. Officers spoke with the caller. She was advised of her options.
