Arrests

Stewart Lewis Holloway, 21, of West Burlington, was arrested Friday evening in the 1700 block of Highway 218 in Riverside for failure to appear on driving while revoked, driving under suspension, and failure to maintain control. He was also wanted in Johnson County for failure to appear for driving under the influence.

David Keith Brown, 38, of Wellman, was arrested Friday night in the 700 block of Seventh Avenue in Wellman for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dyan Marie Lee-Brown, 35, of Wellman, was arrested Saturday morning in the 700 block of Seventh Avenue in Wellman for possession of a controlled substance.

Aaron Wayne Neuzil, 25, of Riverside, was arrested Saturday evening in the 900 block of Eighth Street in Kalona for probation violation on possession of a controlled substance.

Jimmie Lee Stringer III, 21, of Washington, was arrested Sunday evening at Sunset Park in Washington for simple assault. Charges were filed on Jamouri Shontez Stringer, 16, of Washington for two counts of simple assault.

 

Traffic accidents

A hit-and-run accident was reported Friday evening in the 1500 block of East Washington Street in Washington. Officers responded. The incident was documented.

A two-vehicle accident was reported Saturday afternoon in the 200 block of West Madison Street in Washington. Officers responded. Information was exchanged.

A hit-and-run accident was reported Sunday morning in the 800 block of South Marion Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. The incident is under investigation.

A vehicle reportedly went into a yard in the 200 block of East Fountain Street in Brighton Sunday morning. Officers responded. The incident was documented.

A motorcycle vs. deer accident was reported Monday morning in the 3300 block of G52 in Ainsworth. Officers were advised. The incident was documented.

 

Traffic other

A vehicle reportedly drove into a garage in the 200 block of East 15th Street in Washington. A 5-year-old child in the vehicle reportedly backed the vehicle into the garage. Information was exchanged.

A subject was reported being loud Sunday morning in the 500 block of West Jefferson Street in Washington. Officers responded. Miguel Lopez was cited for driving without a license.

A caller reported Sunday morning that subjects had torn up a level B road in the 3300 block of 240th Street in Ainsworth. Officers responded. Information will be forwarded to the county attorney.

Someone reportedly drove on the dirt portion of Red Oak and 105th Street in Riverside. Officers responded. The incident was documented.

Several vehicles were reported Sunday afternoon at East Van Buren and South Ninth Avenue in Washington parked in the no parking zone. Officers responded. An announcement was made for the vehicles to more. One vehicle was cited.

A caller reported Sunday evening that while travelling on Coppock Road in Washington on bicycles, a vehicle almost struck them. Officers attempted to locate the owner of the vehicle.

 

Fire calls

Smoke was reported coming from a room in the 500 block of East Seventh Street in Washington Friday afternoon. Officers and Washington Fire Department responded. The fire was extinguished.

 

Drug/narcotics violation

A possible drug situation was reported Friday afternoon in the 300 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington. Officers spoke with all parties.

 

Assault

A caller reported Friday afternoon that his girlfriend’s mother was assaulting his girlfriend in the 100 block of West Tyler Street in Washington. Officers responded.

A caller reported being assaulted Sunday afternoon at Sunset Park in Washington. Information was forwarded to the County Attorney.

About 20 subjects were reported fighting Sunday evening at Sunset Park in Washington. Officers responded.

 

Motor vehicle theft

A boat and trailer were reported stolen Saturday morning in the 300 block of North D Avenue in Washington. Officers responded.

 

All other thefts

A gas drive-off in the amount of $61.73 was reported Saturday afternoon in the 300 block of West Madison Street in Washington. Officers responded.

A lawn mower was reported stolen Sunday afternoon in the 500 block of East Seventh Street in Washington. The incident was documented.

A caller reported Sunday night her daughter left her purse in the 500 block of North Second Avenue in Washington Saturday evening and the resident wouldn’t give her purse back. It was a civil matter.

 

Vandalism

A caller in the 300 block of East Main Street in Washington reported Sunday morning that someone entered her locked home while she was out. Officers responded.

 

Disorderly conduct

Officers were requested Friday morning in the 700 block of F Avenue in Kalona to assist with a 13-year-old student. Officers responded.

Two subjects were reported in the 3100 block of Highway 22 in Riverside Saturday morning who were not following the program and threatening to drive. Officers responded. The subjects got a room.

 

Intimidation/harassment

A caller in the 200 block of East Van Buren Street in Washington reported Friday afternoon her stepfather was being verbally abusive to her mother and had slashed the tires on her car so she couldn’t leave. Officers responded.

A caller in the 1300 block of North Sixth Avenue in Washington reported Friday evening someone had broken his phone. Officers responded.

A caller in the 800 block of 10th Street in Kalona reported Sunday evening his neighbor was harassing him. Officers responded. Unfounded.

 

Animal complaint

A caller reported Sunday evening a pit bull attacked her dog on Fourth Avenue in Wellman. Officers responded.

 

Curfew/loitering/vagrancy

A subject was reported in the 100 block of East Madison Street in Washington Sunday afternoon soliciting customers. Officers responded.

 

DP&Q

A caller in the 600 block of North Fifth Avenue in Washington reported Sunday evening a subject left his motorcycle running for long periods of time and revs the engine. Officers responded.

A caller in the 300 block of Saint Mary Street in Riverside reported Sunday night subjects had been revving their motorcycles all afternoon. Officers were unable to locate.

 

All other offenses

A caller in the 300 block of West Third Street in Washington reported Friday afternoon having problems with a 15-year-old who was staying at her residence. The incident was documented.

Several juveniles were reported in the 1500 block of Highland Court in Washington riding skateboards down the driveway into the street. The caller had almost struck a child. Officers responded.

An altercation was reported Sunday night in the 500 block of South Second Avenue in Washington. Officers responded.

 

Family offense non violent

A caller in the 300 block of West 18th Street in Washington reported Saturday morning that her son had company and she wanted the company to leave. Officers responded.

A caller in the 700 block of East 15th Street in Washington reported several messages from a subject on her phone Saturday evening, which is a violation of a no-contact order. Officers responded. The incident is under investigation.

A caller in the 200 block of Fairview Drive in Wellman reported Sunday morning that a subject verbally attacked her. The incident was documented.

 

Public service contact

Horses were reported out and tearing up the caller’s yard in the 300 block of West Street in West Chester Saturday afternoon. Officers responded.

A subject in Central Park was reported using offensive language. Officers responded. The subject was removed from the park.

 

Suspicious activity

A caller in the 900 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington reported Saturday evening finding an arrow in her yard. Officers responded.

 

Civil dispute

A caller in the 1600 block of 335th Street in Brighton reported Friday afternoon her father had taken her 4-wheeler and locked it inside a horse trailer and was refusing to give it back. Officers spoke with all parties.
