Arrests

Jasen Scott Tripp, 37, of Keokuk, was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the 3100 block of Eastview Circle Drive in Riverside on warrants for one count of first degree theft, two counts of third degree burglary, one count of third degree burglary to an unoccupied vehicle, one count of fourth degree theft and one count of fifth degree theft.

Dustin Dabert Morden, 30, of Tipton, was arrested Tuesday evening in the 1300 block of Highway 1 in Kalona for probation violation.

Robert Paul Chapek, 31, of Washington, was arrested Wednesday morning in the 1500 block of Highway 1 in Washington for serious domestic assault.

Mariana Gil, 29, of Ainsworth, was arrested Wednesday morning in the 2400 block of Highway 92 in Washington for warrants on third degree theft and fourth degree theft.

 

Traffic other

Henry James Shenault, 31, of Washington, was cited Tuesday afternoon in the 100 block of West Main Street in Washington for driving under suspension.

A vehicle was reported parked in middle of the street in the 600 block of West Second Street in Washington. Officers were unable to locate.

 

Assault

A fight was reported Tuesday morning in the 300 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. Both students were suspended. Charges of disorderly conduct will be filed on Andre Clayton Castillo, 12, of Washington, and Eric Alberto Sanchez, 13, of Washington.

A caller reported Tuesday afternoon being assaulted in Hayes Timber the previous night. The subject had also taken $45 from him. Officers spoke with the caller. The incident was documented.

A caller in the 1500 block of Highway 1 in Washington reported Tuesday afternoon her husband had assaulted her. Charges are pending.

 

Burglary

A caller in the 800 block of 10th Street in Kalona reported Tuesday morning that her daughter’s vehicle had the passenger window broken out and her purse was taken. Officers responded. A report will be filed.

 

All other thefts

An identity theft was reported Tuesday morning in the 1200 block of E Avenue in Kalona. The caller was given the Federal Trade Commission’s phone number. The incident was documented.

A caller in the 1600 block of North Second Avenue in Washington reported Tuesday morning money had been taken from his bank account. The incident is under investigation.

 

Intimidation/harassment

A caller in the 1000 block of North 12th Avenue in Washington reported being harassed at work Tuesday morning. Officers spoke with the subject and advised her to stop calling.

 

Curfew/loitering/vagrancy

A subject was reported in the 300 block of East Washington Street in Washington Tuesday morning asking customers for cigarettes. Officers responded and advised the subject she was no longer welcome in the parking lot.

 

All other offenses

Subjects in the 800 block of North Eighth Avenue in Washington reportedly kept throwing cigarette butts into the caller’s yard, a caller reported Tuesday morning. Officers spoke with the subjects.

 

Suspicious activity

Three subjects were reported driving around a parking lot in the 1200 block of North 12th Avenue in Washington Tuesday evening. Officers responded. A subject was learning how to drive a manual transmission vehicle. No problem. The subjects left.

 

Welfare check

Two small children who appeared to be crying were reported in the 1000 block of East Washington Street in Washington Tuesday morning. Officers responded. One child was crying because he had forgotten his backpack. The subject was transported to his residence to retrieve his backpack.
