Jimmie Lee Stringer, 21, of Washington, was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the 2700 block of Wayland Road in Washington on a warrant for assault.
A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Tuesday afternoon in the 2800 block of Highway 1 in Brighton. Officers were advised.
An officer reported being out with a vehicle at Highway 92 and First Street in Ainsworth Tuesday afternoon. Ricardo T. Ortega of North Liberty was cited for driving under suspension.
A corn bin was reported on fire Tuesday morning in the 3200 block of V Avenue in Wellman Tuesday morning. Wellman Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire.
A general fire alarm was reported Tuesday afternoon in the 600 block of East Polk Street in Washington. Washington Fire Department responded. It was a popcorn maker.
A grain bin was reported on fire Tuesday night in the 1700 block of 180th Street in Wellman. Wellman Fire responded and extinguished the blaze.
Sexual child abuse
A report of a possible sexual child abuse was received Tuesday morning in the City of Washington. The incident is under investigation.
All other thefts
A gator was reported missing Tuesday morning in the 2400 block of Highway 92 in Washington. Officers spoke with the caller. The gator had been located on Sept. 27. The incident was documented.
A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a cargo van Tuesday afternoon in the 1100 block of Commercial Drive in Riverside. The incident was documented.
A subject was reported harassing the caller Tuesday afternoon in the 800 block of West Monroe Street in Washington. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 300 block of South 15th Avenue in Washington reported Wednesday morning that a subject continually harasses him while he is delivering papers. The subject complains about the caller’s music. Officers responded. The harassing party didn’t come out of his house. The incident was documented.
A sheep was reported killed Tuesday morning in the 1400 block of Fir Avenue in Wellman. The caller suspected the neighbor’s dog. Officers spoke with the caller and the dog owner. The dog will be removed from the property.
Three dogs were reportedly in a fight in the 100 block of North 14th Avenue in Washington. Officers spoke with the dogs’ owners. The incident was documented.
All other offenses
A subject was reported going through trash in the 800 block of West Madison Street in Washington Tuesday morning. Officers were unable to locate.
A caller in the 200 block of North Chestnut Street in Crawfordsville reported Tuesday afternoon that a juvenile was at her residence and was afraid to go home because a subject may be there. Officers spoke with the caller and gave the juvenile a 911 cell phone. The incident was documented.
A suspicious truck was reported Tuesday afternoon in the 2000 block of 282nd Street in Ainsworth. Officers responded. The vehicle was gone on arrival.
