Matthew James Riggan, 21, of Washington, was arrested Friday afternoon at South Iowa and Jefferson Street in Washington on a warrant for failure to appear for mittimus on an original charge of OWI.
Virginia Lynn Bobbitt, 56, of Washington, was arrested Saturday afternoon in the 900 block of Prospect Place in Washington for trespass and assault on a peace officer.
Charges were filed on Jameson Walter Reed for serious assault causing bodily injury and harassment.
A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Friday morning at Highway 218 in Riverside. Officers responded. The vehicle was towed.
Someone reportedly sideswiped the caller’s vehicle Friday afternoon in the 2400 block of Highway 92 in Washington. Officers spoke with the caller and will review the video. The incident was documented.
A caller reported striking a deer in the 3200 block of Highway 218 in Crawfordsville. The incident was documented.
A two-vehicle accident was reported Saturday morning in the 700 block of Sixth Street in Wellman. Officers responded. Debra Lyn Bender of Wellman was cited for failure to yield upon entering a highway.
A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Sunday evening in the 3000 block of Highway 1 in Washington. A deer tag was issued.
A caller reported Sunday night hitting a deer in the 1200 block of Highway 1 in Kalona. The incident was documented.
Sapphire Nicole Harrison, 14, of Washington, was cited for unlawful use of a driver’s license and driving under suspension.
A vehicle was reported parked in the 300 block of West Jefferson Street in Washington Sunday afternoon and it had been there two weeks without being moved. Officers chalked the tires.
The front door was reported broken out of a business in the 100 block of First Street in Kalona. Officers responded. About $200-$300 of damage was reported. Nothing appeared missing.
All other thefts
A gas drive-off was reported Saturday evening in the 1500 block of East Washington Street in Washington. Officers were advised. The subject was contacted and will take care of it.
Someone reportedly went through a vehicle in the 3100 block of Highway 22 in Riverside Saturday night and took some prescription medication. The incident was documented.
A barricade was reported run over Sunday morning at Sitler Drive and South B Avenue in Washington. The city was contacted. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 100 block of West Fountain Street in Brighton reported Friday evening that a subject was harassing him via text messages. Officers spoke with both subjects.
A caller in the 1000 block of South Ninth Avenue in Washington reported Sunday morning she had a no-contact order with a subject and his girlfriend was calling her. Officers spoke with the caller. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 600 block of West Adams Street in Washington reported Sunday afternoon receiving threatening phone calls and text messages. Officers spoke with both parties.
A caller in the 200 block of East Washington Street in Washington reported harassing text messages Sunday afternoon. Officers left messages for both parties.

A caller in the 400 block of West Washington Boulevard in Washington reported Friday afternoon that his 29-year-old son was behaving erratically. Officers responded. Everything was calm on officers’ arrival. Officers spoke with everyone and gave them options for the future.
A dog was reported running loose Sunday afternoon in the 1500 block of Highway 22 in Wellman and it reportedly attacked the caller’s puppies. Officers responded.
All other offenses
Officers were requested Friday afternoon in the 900 block of North Seventh Avenue in Washington. The caller reported that her boyfriend was mad at her and had locked her out of the residence. Officers responded and advised the male subject to follow the eviction process.
A caller in the 200 block of Seventh Avenue in Wellman reported Friday evening that she was on the Internet and obscene pop ups kept popping up in her computer. Officers spoke with the caller.
A subject was reported in the 1500 block of East Washington Street in Washington begging for money. Officers responded. The subject was given $20 and is on his way.
A caller in the 100 block of West Fountain Street in Brighton reported Saturday afternoon that he put his uncle’s belongings out in the yard for him to pick up and the neighbor came over and was causing problems. Officers spoke with all parties.
A caller in the 500 block of South B Avenue in Washington reported Sunday morning that someone rang the doorbell then ran to a car and sped off. The incident was documented.
A possible break-in was reported Sunday evening in the 300 block of North Marion Avenue in Washington.
A subject was reported missing Saturday afternoon in the 400 block of East Main Street in Brighton. The caller later advised the subject had returned home.
Public service contact
Dispatch received calls Sunday morning of a woman dancing around in the street at Westview Drive and Highways 1 and 92 in Washington and stepping out into traffic. Officers responded.
A caller in the 1600 block of 335th Street in Brighton reported an ongoing problem with a subject Saturday evening. They had a dispute earlier and were advised to have no further contact. The caller said the subject and three other individuals were at the end of the drive yelling at the house. Officers responded. Unfounded.
A subject reportedly showed up in the 500 block of East Seventh Street in Washington that the caller had a no-contact order with. The subject wasn’t supposed to be in the bar because he was on probation. Officers responded. The subject had been at the bar but left when he learned the caller was there.
An 8-year-old subject was reported running on Highway 218 in Crawfordsville Saturday afternoon. The caller reportedly gave the subject a ride to a residence in Crawfordsville. They requested a welfare check on him. Officers responded. The juvenile had been walking a dog and it got away from him. No problem.
