David Sebastian Riness, 19, of Washington, was charged Monday morning in the 300 block of East Washington Street in Washington with fifth-degree theft.
A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Monday evening at Wayland Road and 280th Street in Washington. Officers responded. The driver was given a state accident report.
A car was reported at the northwest corner of Iowa Avenue and Washington Street in Washington and the caller requested an officer tag it. It had been in the same spot since Friday. Officers responded and tagged the vehicle.

Items were reported stolen Monday morning in the 500 block of E Avenue in Kalona. Officers responded. A report will be filed.
A gas drive-off in the amount of $39.40 was reported Monday morning in the 300 block of East Washington Street in Washington. The incident was documented.
An iPod was reported stolen Monday afternoon in the 1100 block of South B Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. The victim did not wish to pursue charges. A report will be filed.
A bicycle was reported taken from the 400 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington Monday afternoon. The incident was documented.
Officers reported Monday morning being in the 800 block of South B Avenue in Washington to do a welfare check of a dog at the residence. Officers and the dogcatcher responded. The dog was taken from the residence and transported to the vet clinic.
Two loose dogs were reported Monday morning in the 200 block of Second Street in Ainsworth. Officers responded. The city administrator requested PAWS and More pick up the dogs as the owner has been warned several times. The owner will be issued a citation for allowing dogs to run at large.
A caller reported Monday afternoon that a cat bit her on the thumb in the 1000 block of West Madison Street in Washington. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 900 block of Prospect Place in Washington reported Monday morning that her daughter was at her residence and that she was outside in her pajamas and she was not acting right. Officers responded. The subject was given a ride to her residence and told not to return to her mother’s or charges would be filed.
