Arrests
Taylor Rose Vandewalker, 18, of Washington, was arrested Tuesday morning in the 1000 block of West Madison Street in Washington for possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension and charges are pending for operating while intoxicated. Madison Nichole Weise, 18, of Olds, was arrested at the same time and location for possession of drug paraphernalia. Jacob Joseph Creamer, 17, of Washington, was cited at the same time and location for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Traffic accidents
A head on accident between a car and an asphalt truck was reported Monday morning in the 1600 block of 190th Street in West Chester. One subject was trapped inside the car. Officers, Iowa State Patrol, Washington County Ambulance, West Chester QRS, Wellman Rescue, Wellman Fire, Washington Fire, Washington Rescue and Air Care responded. One subject was transported by ambulance to Washington County Hospital. Air Care transported one subject.
A vehicle was reported all over the roadway Monday afternoon. The vehicle was reportedly running other vehicles off the road and was then reported in a ditch in the 3300 block of Highway 92 in Ainsworth. Ainsworth QRS, Ainsworth Fire, Washington County Rescue, Washington County Ambulance, officers, and the Iowa State Patrol responded. One patient was transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Traffic other
Jose Leon Ville Adan, 25, of Fairfield, was cited Monday afternoon in the 500 block of South Iowa Avenue in Washington for driving under suspension and failure to provide insurance.
Alexander Lee Fields, 19, of Washington, was cited Monday night in the 7100 block of South Airport Road in Washington for criminal mischief, careless driving and given a warning for a defective muffler.
Assault
A subject reportedly walked into a business in the 300 block of North Fourth Avenue in Washington Monday night and said a male subject assaulted her. Officers responded. Charges are pending.
Drug/narcotics violation
A caller in the 200 block of A Avenue in Kalona reported Monday afternoon suspicious activity involving his 13-year-old grandson. Officers spoke with the caller and located the juvenile and a friend. Negative for drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Burglary
A laptop and schoolbooks were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 300 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington Friday morning. The incident was documented.
A caller reported Saturday evening that someone attempted to break into her residence in the 200 block of 10th Avenue SW in Wellman. Officers were advised.
Someone reportedly got into a church in the 1100 block of J Avenue in Kalona Saturday night and broke into the safe. Officers responded.
Fraud
A possible scam was reported Sunday afternoon in the 200 block of South Main Street in Crawfordsville. Officers gave the caller the number for the Federal Trade Commission. The incident was documented.
Shoplifting
Melanie Beth Triplett, 18, of Washington, was cited Sunday morning in the 2400 block of Highway 92 in Washington for fifth-degree theft.
All other thefts
The back license plate of a vehicle in the 200 block of East Washington Street in Washington was reported stolen Friday morning. The plate was located on a vehicle in the 100 block of North Marion Avenue in Washington. The incident is under investigation.
Two guns were reported stolen Friday afternoon in the 400 block of South Marion Avenue in Washington. The guns had been located by the Cedar Rapids Police Department. The incident is under investigation.
Three campaign signs were reported stolen Saturday afternoon in the City of Washington. Officers spoke with the caller. The incident was documented.
Someone reportedly stole a bicycle Sunday morning in the 600 block of East Polk Street in Washington.
A gas drive-off in the amount of $57.98 was reported Sunday afternoon in the 100 block of First Street in Kalona. The incident was documented.
A wallet was reported missing Sunday night in the 400 block of South Seventh Avenue in Washington. The caller later found the wallet.
Vandalism
Four tires were reportedly cut on a vehicle in the 200 block of South Marion Avenue in Washington Friday morning. The incident was documented.
An officer was requested Saturday afternoon in the 600 block of East Third Street in Washington in reference to an on-going issue of subjects vandalizing the caller’s building and things.
Subjects reportedly threw eggs at a driveway, vehicle and house in the 400 block of Ella Street in Riverside Saturday night.
Two stop signs were reportedly knocked over Sunday afternoon at 320th and W55 in Wayland. The incident was documented.

An officer was requested Saturday evening in the 600 block of West Monroe Street in Washington in reference to harassing text messages. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 2400 block of Robbins Court in Washington reported Monday afternoon that a former employee was harassing her over the phone. Officers left a message for the subject. The incident was documented.
Trespass
Two subjects were reported inside a fence in the 100 block of Fifth Street in Kalona Saturday night. Officers responded.
Illegal dumping
Another bag of garbage was reportedly dumped into a ditch in the 400 block of South Seventh Avenue in Washington Friday afternoon. Officers responded.
A bag of garbage was reportedly dumped in a dumpster in the 100 block of West Washington Street in Washington. Officers spoke with the subject, who will remove his garbage.
Liquor law violations
A subject was reported Sunday afternoon in the 1200 block of East Washington Street in Washington drinking a case of beer. Officers were unable to locate.
Hang-up 911 calls
Dispatch reported Saturday morning receiving a hang-up 911 call from the 600 block of West Adams Street in Washington. Officers responded. Juveniles had been playing with the phone.
Animal complaints
A dog reportedly came into a driveway in the 600 block of East Main Street in Washington Saturday morning and charged the caller. Officers responded. A verbal warning was given to the owner.
Two aggressive dogs were reported Monday morning in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington. Officers were unable to locate.
A caller in the 100 block of South Sixth Street in Kalona reported Monday evening that her neighbor left on Friday and no one had been back to take care of her dog. The dog was barking constantly and scratching at the windows. Officers left a message for the dog owner.
Barking dogs were reported Monday night in the 3100 block of Whispering Ridge Lane in Riverside. Officers gave the dog owner a verbal warning.
DP&Q
A subject in the 800 block of North Fourth Avenue in Washington was reported wearing his clothing inappropriately Friday afternoon. Officers responded.
All other offenses
A subject reportedly left a bicycle in the 600 block of East Polk Street in Washington Saturday night. Officers responded. The bike was taken to the bike shed.
A caller in the 200 block of North railroad Street in Ainsworth reported Monday night that a subject had been staying with her for about a week and when the caller told the subject she wasn’t welcome anymore, the subject became irate. Officers spoke with the caller.
Family offense non violent
A caller in the 3000 block of Highway 22 in Riverside reported Friday afternoon his ex-wife had harassed him and violated their protection order. Officers spoke with the caller. The order does not have the ex-wife’s name listed. The incident was documented.
Suspicious activity
An officer was requested Saturday morning in the 200 block of East Second Street in Washington in reference to suspicious activity centered on the caller’s home and family. The caller believed they were being watched and followed.
Suspicious activity was reported Saturday night in the 400 block of Ella Street in Riverside. Four juveniles reportedly were running and hid behind a building. Officers were advised.

Welfare check
A welfare check was requested Friday afternoon on two students in the 600 block of Park Street in Ainsworth who hadn’t been to school all week. Officers responded.
A subject was reported walking down the middle of the street in the 3000 block of Coppock Road in Washington. Officers responded. No problem.
A welfare check was requested Sunday morning on a subject that lives in the 500 block of D Avenue in Kalona. Officers responded.
A welfare check was requested Sunday evening on a subject in the 1700 block of 315th Street in Brighton. Officers responded.
A welfare check was requested Monday evening on four children in the 2700 block of Airport Road in Washington who were left alone in a residence all night while their mother was working in Kalona. Officers responded. The children were fine. DHS was contacted and the mother was advised to find alternate care. The incident was documented.
