Michael Douglas Denny, 13, of Washington, was charged Tuesday morning in the 300 block of East Washington Street in Washington with fifth-degree theft.
A caller reported Tuesday afternoon sideswiping a farm tractor-trailer with her vehicle in the 1200 block of Highway 1 in Kalona. The incident was documented.
A vehicle was reported blocking a driveway Tuesday evening in the 500 block of South E Avenue in Washington. Officers responded and cited the vehicle.
Several reports were made Tuesday afternoon of a house on fire in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington. Smoke and flames were reported and the front door was wide open. Washington Fire, Kalona Fire, Brighton Fire, Ainsworth Fire, officers, and Washington County Ambulance responded. The state fire marshal was contacted.
Two subjects were reported arguing Tuesday evening in the 400 block of Ninth Avenue in Wellman and one subject struck the other in the face, knocking her down. Officers responded. There was a verbal argument and one subject had tripped while walking away. No assault. The parties were separated.
A purse was reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of 10th Avenue in Wellman Tuesday morning. Officers were advised.
A caller presorted Tuesday evening driving past a residence at Jackson Street and Fourth Avenue in Washington and seeing her vehicle, which was stolen, parked there. Officers responded. The vehicle was turned over to the rightful owner. Items in the vehicle not belonging to the owner were returned.

A theft had reportedly been caught on surveillance footage Tuesday afternoon in the 2400 block of Highway 92 in Washington. Officers responded.
A caller reported Tuesday night that his girlfriend’s wallet had been taken from a vehicle parked in the 20 block of Parkside Estates road in Washington. Officers spoke with the caller. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 2400 block of 280th Street in Washington reported Tuesday afternoon that his vehicle had been damaged. Officers spoke with the caller. The incident was documented.
A possibly intoxicated subject was reported Wednesday morning in the 3100 block of Highway 22 in Riverside. Officers responded. The problem was resolved.
A search warrant was reportedly executed Tuesday afternoon in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington.
An officer was requested Tuesday afternoon in the 500 block of South 10th Avenue in Washington in reference to hang-up phone calls. Officers spoke with the caller.
A caller in the 800 block of South Iowa Avenue in Washington reported Tuesday morning that the neighbor’s dogs had dug under his fence and are in his backyard trying to tear his clothes off the line. The dogcatcher responded and put the dogs in their own yard.
A loose dog was reported Tuesday morning in the 900 block of North Fifth Avenue in Washington. Officers responded.
Two loose dogs were reported Tuesday morning in the 400 block of East Main Street in Brighton. Officers responded.
Loud music was reported coming from a residence in the 100 block of North Greene Street in Riverside Tuesday evening. Officers responded.

A gas drive-off in the amount of $25.02 was reported Tuesday afternoon in the 1500 block of East Washington Street in Washington. Officers left a message for the vehicle’s owner.
Family offenses non violent
A caller in the 3100 block of Highway 22 in Riverside reported Wednesday morning being in an argument with his girlfriend and she had made comments that she would harm herself. Officers responded.
A caller in the 2700 block of Coppock Road in Washington reported Tuesday afternoon someone was possibly in their garage. Officers were unable to locate anyone.
Two juveniles were reported Tuesday afternoon in the 800 block of South 12th Avenue in Washington carrying what appeared to be a gun case. Officers were unable to locate.
A caller in the 2700 block of Red Oak Avenue in Washington reported Tuesday afternoon that other family members were causing her problems. Officers spoke with the caller and other family members. Issues over power of attorney.
