John Lee Baker, 26, of Iowa City, was arrested Saturday morning in the 500 block of Park Street in Ainsworth for contempt on domestic assault.
Aaron Swartzendruber, 36, of Kalona, was arrested Sunday morning in the 1900 block of Hemlock Avenue in West Chester for operating while intoxicated.
Jose Felipe Godinez-Sales, 23, of Washington, was arrested Sunday morning at South B and West Main Street in Washington for operating while intoxicated and no driver’s license.
Ryan Lee Jones, 20, of Washington, was arrested Sunday morning in the 800 block of South C Avenue in Washington for simple domestic assault.
Kaydin Michele Harrill, 17, of Washington, was charged with disorderly conduct in connection with an incident that occurred on Oct. 10.
A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Saturday evening in the 1500 block of Highway 1 in Kalona. The vehicle was drivable. Officers were advised.
A small truck reportedly drove into a ditch Sunday morning in the 1900 block of Hemlock Avenue in West Chester. Officers responded.

A caller in the 2400 block of Highway 92 in Washington reported Sunday afternoon her rental vehicle was backed into. Officers responded. The incident was documented.
A vehicle reportedly hit a parked vehicle Sunday evening in the 500 block of South B Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. The incident is under investigation.
Two vehicles reportedly didn’t stop at a crossing guard stop at Highway 22 and Seventh Avenue in Wellman Friday morning. Officers contacted the owners of the vehicles.
A vehicle reportedly did damage to another vehicle Friday morning in the 1200 block of First Avenue in Wellman. The incident was documented.
The Washington Fire Department was requested Friday afternoon to a residence in the 600 block of West Adams Street in Washington to reports of burned food in the kitchen and the apartment was filled with smoke. Washington Fire Department responded and assisted.
Brighton Fire Department was called Saturday afternoon to a combine fire on Germanville Road in Germanville. Brighton Fire Department responded.
A caller in the 100 block of East 11th Street in Washington reported Friday afternoon her boyfriend’s 5-year-old son was out of control and had bitten her three times. Officers responded. The juvenile was counseled.
A caller in the 500 block of South Ninth Avenue in Washington reported Saturday evening that his nephew had assaulted him. Officers responded.
A caller reported Sunday afternoon that his daughter’s boyfriend assaulted his 17-year-old daughter in the 400 block of Third Street in Wellman. Officers spoke with the caller. The incident was documented.
Possible drug/narcotic items were reported Friday morning located in the 200 block of West Madison Street in Washington. The incident was documented.
All other thefts
A caller in the 3100 block of Highway 22 in Riverside reported Friday night that there was a party bus at the front entrance and the subjects were causing problems. A second call advised the bus had left and that one of the subjects had taken a flag from the golf course. Officers stopped the vehicle. The subject who stole the flag was not with the subjects on the bus.
A gas drive-off in the amount of $20.18 was reported Sunday afternoon in the 300 block of West Madison Street in Washington. Officers were advised. The incident was documented.
Vandalism was reported to the windshield of a vehicle in the 400 block of East Main Street in Washington Friday morning. The incident is under investigation.
Someone reportedly struck a 911 address sign in the 3300 block of 150th Street in Riverside, a caller reported Friday afternoon. The incident was documented.
A vehicle was reported keyed Sunday morning in the 900 block of South C Avenue in Washington. Officers spoke with the caller and attempted to contact suspects. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 200 block of A Avenue in Kalona reported Friday afternoon that his cousin had threatened him if he didn’t move his belongings out the trailer. It was a civil matter.
A caller in the 2600 block of Wayland Road in Washington reported Saturday afternoon that a subject had been sending her threatening and harassing text messages. Officers spoke with both parties. They were advised to have no further contact. The incident was documented.
A caller reported Saturday evening that three juveniles yelled at her while she was walking in Central Park in Washington. Officers spoke with the subjects and advised them if dispatch got another call about them, they would be kicked out of the park.
A caller in the 400 block of East Washington Street in Washington reported Sunday evening that a subject was in her apartment and needed to leave. Officers responded.
A vehicle was reported parked on the caller’s property in the 2800 block of Dogwood Avenue in Brighton Friday evening. The caller believed there were hunters trespassing in the timber. Officers responded.
Liquor law violations
Cited Friday night at Highway 22 and 218 in Riverside for open container were: Erika Moreno-Benitez, 38, of Columbus Junction; Cesar Garcia De Leon, 24, of Washington; and Maria A. Carlos De Garcia, 36, of Columbus Junction.
A vehicle stop was reported Saturday night at Highway 22 west of Highway 1 in Kalona. Haley Elizabeth Schlesselman, 19, of Williamsburg, was cited for possession of alcohol under the legal age. Jessica Nicole Claeys, 22, of Belle Plaine, was cited for open container.
Three barking dogs were reported Friday morning in the 400 block of East Washington Street in Washington. Officers responded. The owner was not home.
Several calves, three dogs and a donkey were reported in need of better care Friday afternoon in the 1800 block of 155th Street in Wellman. Officers responded. No neglect was found.
A stray dog reportedly bit a 14-year-old subject on her lip Friday evening at C Avenue and West Madison Street in Washington. Officers and Washington County Ambulance responded. The patient was transported to Washington County Hospital.
A barking dog was reported Sunday evening on South Marion Avenue in Washington. Officers responded.
A caller in the 400 block of Hickory Street in Kalona reported Sunday evening overhearing a subject bragging about how he had shot another subject’s dog after the dog had come onto his property and growled at him. Officers responded. The dog was missing. The incident was documented.
Loud music was reported Friday afternoon in the 200 block of A Avenue in Kalona. Officers responded.

A caller in the 400 block of A Place in Kalona reported Sunday morning an incident involving herself and her estranged husband while he was attempting to leave home to take the children to church. Officers responded. The incident was documented.
A caller reported Sunday afternoon losing his wallet in the 500 block of South Highway 1 in Washington. Officers were advised. The wallet was located.
Family offense non violent
A caller in the 900 block of South Second Avenue in Washington reported Sunday afternoon that her 13-year-old daughter was refusing to listen to her and to turn her cell phone over as a punishment. Officers responded. The problem was responded.
A subject was reported in the 500 block of Seventh Avenue in Wellman Sunday evening and he would not leave. Officers responded. The subject was allowed to retrieve some of his items.
A caller reported Friday evening that he owns a building in the 400 block of North F Avenue in Washington and Jonathan Beam had until midnight to get his belongings out or the belongings would become the property of the caller, per their contract. Beam’s son reportedly showed up and became angry with the caller because he would not allow him inside. Officers responded. The incident was documented.
A property line dispute was reported Saturday afternoon in the 100 block of North Railroad Street in Ainsworth. It was a civil matter. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 300 block of East Madison Street in Brighton reported Monday morning that the neighbor had put a mirror in their yard so the caller’s light shines back in her window. Officers spoke with both parties. It was a civil matter.
A caller reported Sunday afternoon that a house in the 700 block of South Iowa Avenue in Washington was for sale and the front door was wide open. Officers responded.
A welfare check was requested Sunday morning on a subject in the 600 block of East Main Street in Washington. Officers responded.
