Matthew Bruce Breuer, 41, of Washington, was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington for operating while intoxicated.
Tyler Elliott Carpenter, 29, of New London, was arrested Tuesday evening in the 2800 block of Vine Avenue in Crawfordsville for domestic abuse and serious assault.
A vehicle reportedly backed into another vehicle Tuesday afternoon in the 200 block of North Highway 1 and 92 in Washington. Officers responded. Information was exchanged. The incident was documented.
A hit and run accident was reported Tuesday afternoon in the 700 block of Monroe Street in Ainsworth. Officers responded. Under $1,500 damage was reported. The incident was documented.
Motor vehicle thefts
A vehicle with Colorado plates was reported along the roadside Tuesday afternoon at 140th and Vine in Riverside. The caller’s wife had spoken with a subject who advised the vehicle had run out of gas and he had been drinking. Officers were unable to locate the subject. The vehicle had been entered as stolen by the University of Iowa Police Department. The vehicle was towed to Johnson County.
A caller in the 300 block of East Madison Street in Washington reported Tuesday afternoon receiving threatening texts. Officers spoke with both parties.
A possible violation of a no-contact order was reported Tuesday night in the 100 block of South Sixth Street in Kalona. The incident was documented.
A dog was reported tied up in the 400 block of North D Avenue in Washington Tuesday evening and it did not appear to have appropriate shelter. Officers spoke with the subject at the residence. A family friend owns the dog and will be taking the dog somewhere else Wednesday. The dog was able to reach its shelter.
Family offense non violent
An ongoing verbal dispute was reported Tuesday afternoon in the 400 block of West Main Street in Washington. Officers spoke with the caller and advised him to seek a counselor.
A welfare check was requested Tuesday morning on a child entered as missing in the 100 block of South Sixth Avenue in Kalona. Officers responded and located the child with the father. Information was relayed to the Cedar Rapids Police Department. The incident was documented.
