Edgar Jesus Hernandez, 21, of Columbus Junction, was arrested Thursday morning in the 1100 block of Enterprise Drive in Riverside for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, violation of drug tax stamp and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A caller presorted a four-wheeler that appeared to be coming from the 100 block of East Third Avenue in Washington was revving its engine and running on the street, racing up and down and cutting cookies in the street Thursday evening. Officers were unable to locate.
A case of fraud was reported Thursday afternoon in the 1200 block of Maple Avenue in Kalona. Officers spoke with the caller. The bank stopped all activity on the victim’s account.
A student was reported out of control in a classroom in the 300 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington. Parents were en route. Officers responded. The student assaulted a teacher. The matter will be handled internally.
A caller reported Thursday morning the same dog was tied up in the 400 block of North D Avenue in Washington, although the owners had moved it to the south side of the house. Officers were unable to locate.

A student was reported in the 1100 block of East Third Street in Washington refusing to come to school Thursday morning. Officers responded. The student was ill. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 800 block of North Eighth Avenue in Washington reported an ongoing issue with a neighbor putting things in her yard Thursday afternoon. Officers responded. It was a civil matter. The property needs to be surveyed to verify property lines.
Family offense non violent
A caller in the 2200 block of 250th Street in Washington reported Thursday afternoon that she and her fiancé got into an argument and he locked her out of the apartment and left. Officers responded and spoke with both parties. The caller left with her parents.
A deputy was requested Friday morning in the 300 block of Center Street in West Chester in reference to a situation with a subject. The caller wanted to leave the residence. Officers responded and gave the caller a ride to her dad’s residence. The caller claimed no assault occurred.
A caller in the 200 block of A Avenue in Kalona reported Thursday morning that someone put a baggie under her vehicle that looked suspicious. Officers responded. The item was seized. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 400 block of B Avenue in Kalona reported Thursday evening her boyfriend would not give her belongings that belonged to her. Officers responded. The caller was given her belongings and the subjects were advised to have no further contact.
A caller reported Thursday morning that he was en route to a residence in the 100 block of South Sixth Street in Kalona for a home visit. He requested a deputy respond also. Officers responded. The incident was documented.
