A caller in the 700 block of East Second Street in Washington reported Monday a loose terrier in the 1000 block of East Second Street. The owner was given a verbal warning for letting a dog out of his residence by accident.
A driver on Highway 218 just south of Riverside reported he hit a deer Monday. The vehicle was still drivable but the headlights were busted out. Dispatch advised the caller to fill out a state accident report if the damage was over $1,500.
Crystal Gay Ray, 31, of Iowa City was cited Monday for driving with a suspended license and for going 67 mph in a 55 mph zone.
A caller on North F Avenue in Washington reported a school bus violation Monday on North F Avenue. The matter is under investigation.
All other theft
A caller in the 2300 block of Hemlock Avenue in West Chester reported damage to an air conditioning unit and possible theft of copper. The caller reported the motor was stolen from the air conditioning unit. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 3100 block of 116th Court in Riverside reported Monday that several items were stolen from his residence, including a computer tablet, a cell phone and diamonds, totaling $1,400 in all.
A caller in the 300 block of West Second Street in Washington reported that the person who mowed the extra lot belonging to First Christian Church blew all the leaves out onto the street. Police responded and found a very small amount of leaves in the street. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 400 block of Lincoln Street in Ainsworth reported Monday that there might be somebody outside causing her dogs to bark. An officer responded but was unable to find anybody.
All other offenses
A caller in the 900 block of Seventh Street in Kalona reported Monday an on-going issue with a neighbor burning in his yard and leaving it to smolder for days. She had talked to them in the past about it and it still continued. An officer responded. Nobody was at the residence where the burn pile was located. City hall will handle it from its office.
