Curtis Austin Null, 28, of Washington, was arrested Monday evening in the 1400 block of 315th Street in Brighton for conspiracy to manufacture meth.
Vincent Edward Smallwood, 34, of Washington, was arrested Monday evening in the 500 block of North C Avenue in Washington for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
An accident was reported Monday morning in the 300 block of North B Avenue in Washington. Kenneth James Kucera of Riverside was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign. Over $1,500 damage was reported.
A two-vehicle accident was reported Monday afternoon in the 3100 block of Highway 22 in Riverside. Officers responded. No citation.
A vehicle reportedly went into a ditch Monday afternoon in the 2700 block of Highway 218 in Ainsworth. Officers, Iowa State Patrol, Ainsworth Fire, Ainsworth QRS Washington County Rescue and Washington County Ambulance responded. No injuries were reported.
A vehicle was reported in a ditch Tuesday morning in the 2700 block of Coppock Road in Washington. Officers responded. Lucas Martinez-Moran, 23, of Washington, was cited for no driver’s license. The vehicle was towed.
A combine reportedly hit some wires Monday evening in the 400 block of West Fifth Street in Washington. Officers responded.
Two students were reported in an altercation Monday afternoon in the 1100 block of South B Avenue in Washington. Austin Henning, 14, of Washington, was charged with simple assault.
All other thefts
A bike was reported stolen Monday morning in the 500 block of North Iowa Avenue in Washington. The caller later advised her husband took the bike to work. No theft.
A storage unit in the 1400 block of E Avenue in Kalona was reported broken into Monday morning. About $2,300 worth of items was missing.
A bracelet, watch and pearl ring were reported missing from an apartment in the 300 block of East River Street in Riverside Monday morning. The caller later reported she found her items.
A gas drive-off in the amount of $30 was reported Monday afternoon in the 1500 block of East Washington Street in Washington. Officers spoke with the driver.
A caller in the 100 block of West Fountain Street in Brighton reported Monday afternoon two subjects pulled a knife on him. Officers responded. One subject advised he was only showing the caller the knife. The subject was required to dispose of the knife and both subjects were advised they weren’t allowed on City of Brighton property.
A subject was reported in an apartment in the 100 block of South Marion Avenue in Washington Monday night. Officers responded.
An intoxicated subject was reportedly trying to sell horses Monday afternoon in the 100 block of Ninth Street in Kalona. Officers responded. The subject was advised not to return.
Family offense non violent
A caller in the 1100 block of South Ninth Avenue in Washington reported Monday night her grandson and his wife were refusing to work and would not leave the residence. Officers responded.
A subject reportedly left two small children in a van while she was in a store in the 1500 block of East Washington Street in Washington. Officers responded. There was another adult in the van. No problem.
A welfare check was requested Monday night in the 1100 block of Seventh Avenue in Wellman on a subject. Officers responded.
