Prairie adventures

Feb 17, 2014

Washington County Naturalist Pam Holz shows a 16-foot tall windmill at the Conservation-Education Center in Marr Park, which is part of the Smithsonian Exhibit, ‘Listening to the Prairie:  Farming in Nature’s Image,’ a traveling display brought to Iowa by the Friends of Hartman Reserve Nature Center in Blackhawk County.  It will be on display in the Center through the end of April and can be viewed by the public during regular open hours of the building. The exhibit will be part of an educational program called ‘Prairie Adventures,’ which will be held Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. in the center at Marr Park.
