Prairie Pride 4-H Club

The regular meeting of the Prairie Pride 4-H Club was held at the Extension Office on Nov. 17, 2013.

The meeting was called to order by McKenna Brinning at 5:05 p.m. The Pledge was led by Molly Sparks. Roll call was answered by 32 members, telling their favorite food at Thanksgiving. The minutes of the previous meeting were read by Holly Vittetoe and approved by Jenah Greiner and Gracie Greiner. The treasurer’s report was given by Kaylee Vogel and approved by Molly Sparks and Morgan Brinning.

In old business was a reminder that enrollment with $10 dues needs to be turned in. Information was given regarding the “PAWS and More Animal Shelter” community service project. In new business, each member is to bring a $5 grab bag item and sign up to bring food for the Christmas party. Beef weigh-in is Dec. 14. A Pizza Ranch fundraiser was scheduled for Monday, Nov. 18. West Chester School is looking for help from members on Dec. 7-8 for a Christmas party. The meeting was adjourned with the 4-H pledge led by Makenna Burdock.

Kaylee Vogel gave a presentation on “Pumpkin Pie Spice.” Refreshments were served. After the meeting, each member enjoyed making a “cookie in a jar” to give as a gift for Christmas.
