Prairie Pride 4-H Club
The regular meeting of the Prairie Pride 4-H Club was held at the Extension Office on Feb. 17, 2013. The meeting was called to order by Sarah Greiner at 5:03 p.m. The Pledge was led by Samantha Mellinger. Roll call was answered by 30 members’ saying what they enjoy doing in their free time. The minutes of the previous meeting were read by Holly Vittetoe and approved by Megan Mitchell and Gracie Greiner. The treasurer’s report was given and approved by McKenna Brinning.
In old business, discussion was held on those attending the “4-H Fire-Up.” In new business, the FSQA meeting is scheduled for Feb. 23 at 9 a.m., and the dodge ball tournament is March 20, with registration cost of $8 per team. Several project meetings will be held during the month of March for new members. The 4-H intermediate trip will be held in April, and the junior 4-H trip will be in June. More adult volunteers are needed and would be appreciated. The 4-H skating party is March 24 from 1 to 3:30 p.m., and admission cost is $4. Makenna Burdock moved and Morgan Brinning seconded to make bunny paintbrushes as door decorations at the McCreedy Home on March 6 at 1:30 p.m. The club will provide the supplies for this activity.
The meeting was adjourned with the 4-H pledge led by Morgan Brinning. After the meeting, members enjoyed painting pottery mugs and decorating get-well cards for hospitalized children. Refreshments were served.
