Right to Life group to meet
This past month Washington County Right to Life participated in an event which took place across North America. This event was the annual Life Chain. Some people refer to the chain as a protest. However, in actuality, it is a time of prayer. Participants hold signs which on the back contain Scriptures, song lyrics and prayer suggestions for the individual to utilize during the hour. Instructions include to be quiet and courteous, not to obstruct pedestrian or vehicular traffic, and to spend the hour in prayer. Some suggested prayer items are: the nation, moms and pre-born babes, those who have been touched by abortion, and for the participant herself/himself to communicate the value and importance of life to those with whom they come in contact during the regular course of their lives.
The group’s goal is to communicate with the community the value of life at all stages. Join Right to Life in speaking for those without a voice at 7 p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month in the Wolfe Conference Room at the Washington Public Library.
