Riverside council approves second water rate hearing
RIVERSIDE—The city council held a second hearing for the proposed water and sewer rate increases Monday evening.
Office assistant Becky LaRoche said the council approved the second hearing. The council waived the third hearing for the sewer and water rate increases.
This increase would go into effect on July 1, LaRoche said.
The council also approved listing the remaining commercial lots the city owns with Terrus Realty for six months.
“They chose to go with six months instead of the 90 days because 90 days barely gives you time to get the advertising started,” LaRoche said.
The next city council meeting will be held on Monday, June 16, at 6:30 p.m.
