St. James holds science fair
St. James held a science fair on April 23.
The first-place finishers were Caleb Tanner and Evan Horak. The title of their project was Parachutes: Size vs. Speed. In second place was John Flannery with his project Blowing Bottle Tops: Blowing into Glass Bottles. Collin Greiner and Brady Knutson came in third with the project Experimenting with Electric Motors.
Other experiments included Claire Horak, How does changing the percent of fat in milk affect yogurt consistency; Gunner Farrier, What is the best bait for trapping raccoons; Trevor Quigley and Brock Sobaski, What makes the best aerodynamic design; Demeri Bell and Macy Driscoll, Can you blame the burnt ones on the cookie sheet; and David Hora, What is the best fluid for hydraulics.
