Stark elected Lions District Governor
At the District Convention of SE Lions Clubs, Fred Stark was elected District Governor for 2013-14. Stark will serve as district governor-elect until July 1 when he will be inducted into office by International Lions President Barry J. Palmer, of Berowra, NSW, Australia. He will serve until June 30, 2014.
As district governor, Stark, and his partner in service Nan Stark, will lead approximately 1,300 members in 57 Lions clubs. Stark first joined Lions Club in 1964 and has held many offices including that of state parliamentarian for 15 years. He has co-authored a book on the Illinois Prairie Path railroad system and is a member of the Washington City Council.
