The culmination of the week on Friday evening is the inauguration of the newly elected state officials. The inauguration takes place at Stephens Auditorium. The public is invited to attend.
Schoonover attends Washington High School. She is in the marching and concert bands, FFA and 4-H.
She was chosen to attend Iowa Girls State on the basis of interest, leadership and scholastic qualities.
