Student receives FFA scholarship
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The National FFA Organization awarded a $2,000 John Deere scholarship to Ty Stender of the Washington High School FFA. The scholarship is sponsored by Precision Equipment as a special project of the National FFA Foundation. Stender plans to use the funds to pursue a degree at Iowa State University. He is the son of Steve and Kathy Stender.
The scholarship is one of 1,786 awarded through this scholarship program. The recipients were selected from 6,315 applicants from across the country. Selections were based on the applicant's leadership, academic record, FFA, and other school and community activities, supervised agricultural or work experience in agriculture education and future goals.
