Students participate in contest
This year St. James School's fourth-, fifth- and sixth-graders participated in the Catholic Daughters poetry/essay/art contest. They were judged at the local level, and the first place entries will be sent on to be judged at state level.
Kellie Dallmeyer won first place in the poetry class, with Halle Barkema coming in second, and John Flannery, third.
Dallmeyer also won the essay class.
The first-place art class winner was Evan Horak. In second place was Macy Driscoll, and in third place, Caleb Tanner.
Claire Horak won first place in the Division 2 computer art class.
